Sorry, use that in my notes all the time for the Renegade Lizard Folk. Followers of Erythnul (in one of my posts I think I said Gruumsh- my bad).

They want an evil dead nature god by the name of Karaan raised back up to the status of a live god. It seems that he was killed by Ehlonna and Obadi-Hai, a lot of his power went to the god of slaughter.

The RLFs- when they leave their clans/tribes they scare themselves with brands, tattoos, and the blades they use. Its how we can tell them apart- that and the fact that they see us and just attack. While the regular Lizard Folk hesitate.

That is so.... evil its cool. I wonder what the PCs would do if they saw a medusa pecking the ground, squacking as it scratched at the ground with it's toes?

I had a much better one under the 3.0 polymorph rules. I had a Yuan-ti (special ability polymorph other 1/day) polymorph a warhorse into a hydra.

The horse just wanted to hangout and eat grass.

I had a very confused adventuring party. They fled from the Grass-eating Hydra and ran right into a trap that the Yuan-ti set.
