I'm kind of hoping Axe of Dwarven Lords wins, as that will be very much in keeping with the Dwarven Rogue thing we've got going here on EnWorld...

Only problem with this is you can't use the Axe for Sneak Attack damage. Kinda defeats the purpose of the Rogue, no? The Sword of Avernus can at least be a Scimitar, which would work with the Dwarven Rogue.

If this was 3e or 4e there'd be a feat to let Dwarves sneak attack with hand axes or all Rogues with thrown weapons.

In any case, it's a one handed weapon so you could always use it one handed and keep a dagger in the off-hand to sneak attack with so you can get all the other benefits of the artifact and use it on opportunity attacks
