My prediction: Regular "normal" elves will win. All the fluffy foo foo, emo, goth, sparkly, gill having, angsty, more-dwarf-than-elf, whiny elves will be downvoted in short order

Probably. The normal elves will draw less hate, and those hate downvotes are always the killer of these survivor threads. Looking back, High Elf and Wood Elf have been the top answers pretty much since the beginning, and they're easily the last two standing IMO.

I wish there could only be one elf...Seriously, they're like an investation of D&D. Started out fine. Then in short order we started getting high ones, wood ones, gray ones, dark ones....and now we're up to tall ones, short ones, pretty ones, sparkly ones, opaque ones, smelly ones, magic ones, bestial ones, mystic ones, game show host ones, dancing ones, etc etc

I'll point out that there are now more Tiefling subraces then Elf Subraces.

Grugach are so much cooler then those masby pamsy wood elves. They are all isolationist xenophobes - a non-evil race of elves that still isn't happy to see you. I like it.
