Leomund cares about the common man, the poor adventures just starting out, with barely two gold to rub together. He doesn't make you wait until 13th level to be deemed worthy.
No, Leomund only wishes to provide a warm protection to those in dangerous places and dangerous times. Want to know how much more Leomund cares for you than that pompous trust fund baby Mordenkainen? He gives his protection away for free as a Ritual! You all wish to pick at the scraps of Morden'every other spell I have is worthless'kainen who cares not for your plight. But you know, deep in your heart, that Leomund will always be there, no matter how exhausted you are, no matter if you even have enough spell slots to seek his protection.
