To be honest the Eldritch knight and valor or blade bard come closest in my mind to ideal gish. They still don't quite get it.

Even thought it's UA I think the stone sorcerer is my ideal gish. I wish it was in Xanathars as I think it was the best designed sorcerer in 5e
