SW saga edition overview at WotC

PrC also allow restriction in the form of requirements, not just mechanical requirements but also roleplaying requirements.
I thought that's what GMs were for, roleplaying restrictions. Otherwise a player could just roll a natural 20 on his "I win" check.

Yeah, but newbie GMs might need some help or examples. After all Star Wars d20 primary target customers are the Star Wars fans who have not yet tried RPG.

We need to recruit and expand our gaming fanbase ... by any means necessary. :]

Anyone seen any new scoops on this recently?

I've not seen any further announcements or titbits, and jedi councilling 101 seems to have been held up in the ether or something :(

Cheers

I already suggested pitfalls in shopping centers, but nobody listened.

They probably have to stretch the program, compared to the original planning, by two months more, due to the shift of the release date.

In D&D, yeah. But this is the official Star Wars RPG, which is both rules and campaign setting. We expect designers to adapt canon material into rules.

I remember when the second edition came out they put the Technical Specialist in reluctantly due to player feedback and it low list of class features made it more on par with the 1st edition rulebook classes. Now they've taken it out again. Now tell me why the people at WotC have a problem with the concept of a Technical specialist in a Space Opera Game?

I don't have a problem with it, though I'm not speaking for anyone else. We didn't remove the idea as a character, we just found a different way to make that character, which I at least like better.

We removed the Force adept core class too. beleive me, that doesn't mean you can't play a non-Jedi Force user. In fact, it's easier than ever, and I think more likely to produce the character you want.

Then the Question of the Week is: How do you make a tech character in SECR better?
