Swashbuckling d20 -- standard D&D adaptations?

First Post
I was just browsing through the Swashbuckling Adventures book and making some quick mental notes. Wondering about your opinions as well...

Even if you're not a Seven Seas fan and don't really want to use that particular campaign setting, do you feel that the Swash.Ad. options are a viable alternative to the standard high-magic D&D world?

What's with all those feats?! Why the heck can't we get a core D&D campaign book with the variety that shows up in something like Swash.Ad. or Forgotten Realms resource books?

Even though I *think* I really like the book overall, I'm getting really p***ed at the shoddy editing that game manufacturers put into their products. There's absolutely no reason there should be so many misspelled words in a $30+ book, I don't care what sort of funky deadline excuses they use.

Uh, you do know WotC didn't publish Swashbuckling Adventures, don't you? Alderac Entertainment Group (AEG) is the publisher.

:)

Are you sure? I went to www.aeg.com and there was no mention at all of Swashbuckling Adventures. Please check your facts before posting nonsense to web boards. I always do.

No you don't. I've got the freakin' book in my hands, and it's published by AEG.

Sorry, Olidammara and hong, but I've seen the book you've mentioned. It is published by AEG. There is no Wizards of the Coast label on it.

And yes, Swashbuckling Adventures IS "7th Sea d20."

It seems people don't appreciate your subtle sense of humor hong. He did check his facts (the link goes to an industrial equipment provider or something) then he posted nonsense, just like he said...

You're a silly goose, Hong. :)

And speaking of geese, or at least wild goose chases, Alderac's website is actually located at www.alderac.com

Their Swashbuckling Adventures website is at www.seventhsea.com

This is all just delightful commentary on the foibles of the information age, but I can't help notice how no one has actually addressed the use of the book itself.

You numnuts.

Lookie - he's edited is post! Now not only will WotC feel the sting of his steel, but all "game manufacturers" as well! ;)
