Swashbuckling/Dueling Rules?

Well, my SWRPG folks are clamoring for a little "something more heroic" than what's in the RAW.

I remember some people had some rules for duels out there, and that one or more people (Barsoomscore?) had put together some swashbuckling cards and/or a system to use them to liven up combats?

I don't have search, myself, and I haven't had the time to pour through the back pages looking for this stuff, if it's even here. Does anybody have links to anything like this? I'd like to offer my players a little something more tonight, as they're about to hit Knight level and we're rounding up the game in a handful of weeks ... I'd like them to feel like they're no longer padawans and can square off against dark jedi with a clashing of sabers and bouncing off the walls ... etc.

One thing I am considering is to let the Lightsaber Defense class ability work to block melee weapons as well, including other lightsabers. Lightsaber defense used against melee weapons adds an additional +1 to your defense which stacks with the normal defense bonus you get from the regular use of lightsaber defense. (So a 1st level Jedi would have a +1 to defense when parrying blaster bolts, and a +2 to defense when parrying melee weapons).

It's not much, but it helps visualize a lightsaber duel with clashing sabers and parries. It also helps visualize when an opponent strikes at you with a normal melee weapon ... if the attack roll falls within the range of your lightsaber defense, you get a free damage roll against the opponent's weapon. In short, they strick with a force pike, you parried with your lightsaber and sliced the force pike in half.

This kind of melee defense could be extended to other classes as well, perhaps as a feat.

I haven't playtested this yet, but its something that is simmering in the back of me skull.
