How many swift or immediate power can you manifest on your turn? Some of the psi warriors powers are reactive, how many can be activated between rounds?

You can take one swift action on your turn.

You can take one immediate action either on your turn, or on someone else's turn. If you do it on someone else's turn, it uses up your swift action for your NEXT turn.

As a corollary, this means you can only manifest one reactive power per turn, if such powers take an immediate action to manifest.

On a side note, I'd like to see WotC someday revise a lot of (Ex) and other special abilities to use swift and immediate actions rather than standard actions.

And if you do it on your turn it uses up your Swift action for that turn.

Rather than start a new thread, I though I'd post my question here.

I know it says "you can use an immediate action at any time", but just what does that mean in game terms?

Say I'm a Psion able to manifest the Energy Adaptation power (which is augmentable to an Immediate Action) facing a wizard. It's the wizard's turn and he is casting a spell. Would I need to announce that I want to use the power before the spell goes off, perhaps using Spellcraft to determine what spell he's going to cast

or

after the spell goes off but before saving throws and/or damage are rolled (meaning the type of energy in the spell is probably now evident, but not necessarily how dangerous it is)

or

After saves and damage are rolled (meaning I'll know just how damaging the spell is and whether I need to block some of it).

I would guess the answer is either the 1st or 2nd option, not the 3rd, but I don't really know for sure what the limit is.

I'd say that one is up to your DM... Although I'd personally allow it to be done at any point BEFORE the save is rolled.
