Sword&Board fighter - throwing?

Howdy... I'm looking at a lvl 1 character design for an axe&shield fighter heading towards TWF that should be able to throw daggers...

Problem: Light shield is required for shield bashing, buckler is required for throwing daggers with the off-hand.

Now, is it feasible to throw daggers with the off-hand with a worn, not readied light shield? Or does anyone have a better idea how to realise this?

From the SRD (my emphasis):
Shield, Light, Wooden or Steel
You strap a shield to your forearm and grip it with your hand. A light shield’s weight lets you carry other items in that hand, although you cannot use weapons with it.
I don't see any distinction here about worn/readied - it is simply a weight/bulk issue.

It depends on what sort of action your DM says swapping hands requires. IMC, it's a free action. This means that IMC your axe-fighter with a light shield (able to hold something in the shield hand, but not use it to fight with) can swap his axe to the off hand, throw daggers, and swap back.

That wouldn't be the problem. What I am looking for is to throw weapons with both hands (TWF additional attacks) without dropping the shield ;)

That wouldn't be a problem with a buckler... but then shield bash doesn't work.

I don't know if it's in keeping with the intended flavour of the character, but if you have armour spikes, you can use them for your off-hand attack, allowing you to step down to a buckler for the off-hand throw.

Can't you?

I don't think this works. I've been mulling it over and I just don't see how you can throw a dagger with a hand thats also supporting a bulky shield. It would throw off the entire throwing motion ... it would be kinda like trying to pitch a baseball with a rabid possum clinging to your arm...
