Sword of Truth Mord-sith?

Even though Terry Goodkind has said, because of his publishing contract, I believe, that his works can't be officially made into a game, has any created either a class or prestige class for the Mord-sith or the Confessors?

THat's wierd he would have an anti RPG clause in his contract. The world is really interesting and I like some of the ideas and character concepts.

I've also wondered what a conversion would look like. The powers described seem to be incredibly high powered- I would imagine that they should be epic prestige classes. Except that in Terry Goodkind's world they seem to skip directly from low-level to epic without going through anything in between.

The Confessor's ability might be compared to an unbreakable Dominate Person, though without the telepathic control. I think it is even stronger, though- I would say that it completely destroys the personality of the victim (unless they are truly, selflessly in love with the Confessor), but in a way that leaves the memories, base attacks and hit points. The victim then becomes completely, utterly devoted to the confessor.

To model a Mord-Sith we need more adequate rules on torture and breaking people's spirits. Maybe hold off on this until after the BoVD comes out.

Then there are the Dream-walkers....

Actually, I thought it was very easy to model a Confessor.

They simply have the "Thrall" ability of the Mindbender (from Tome & Blood) with one reduction in power: It doesn't affect someone that truly loves them. It has two advantages, though: you can have as many thralls at one time as you like and the effect cannot be broken in any way.

I would also allow the Thrall to make a will save for any action on behalf of the Confessor if he has been polymorphed into another form -- the man who had been changed into a wolf felt the compulsion a bit less strongly than other thralls.

Really, the Confessor *IS* a mindbender. It works pretty well.

Mostly what I was looking for was the Mord-Sith stuff. I'm in the planning stages of a campaign and I wanted to give the party a VERY nasty shock when the started slinging spells about.

Mord Sith

I found this conversion at random at some point. I haven't looked it over very closely, but it might be a place to start.

Oh, and I would disagree with Mord Sith being a prestige class. They're specifically trained from a very young age.

As for the confessor power: range of touch, total Thrall/Charm, but without saving throws to avoid doing something suicidal or against alignment (hell, the vicitim doesn't even have an alignment anymore I would say--he/she is too devoted to the Confessor to think about morals). At least, that's what I would do.
