Pathfinder 1E Sword of Valor, Wrath of the Righteous AP Part 2 with your hosts Scotley and MLeibrock

ooc: I am having trouble figuring out what a proper punishment would be for a solder doing this. I have zero inspiration here

Banaq, Elf Sorcerer L5, Archmage T1

OOC: I can also think of nothing directly applicable to this situation, but the catch-all non-judicial punishment for those in uniformed services would be that codified in Article 15 of the UCMJ, which punishment could include forfeiture of pay, extra duty, probably minor physical punishment, etc.

Article 15

OOC: Actually, it sounds like this old veteran may need more of a pep-talk than a punishment.

OOC: I was not a fun guy in the Air Force. If any one complained on a team I was in charge of, they were off the team or or worse.

OOC: Punishing people for saying things that have a good probability of being true seems odd to me. Pep-talk is probably what Jack would do, but he is not the one on watch and neither is he a paladin.

Sir Sheldon, Paladin of the light

"Soldier, I was at the temple when the demons struck. I and many many more, some of which are here on the march. We were pulled down to the bowels of the earth, somewhere in the grasp of cult members. We found allies when we thought we were alone and going to die. We did not die. The light brought us back. And we are stronger for it.

The only way we made it is because we fought side by side. Bled in each others wounds. some dieing in each others' arms."

Sheldon had been pacing slow while he spoke, his voice in an even tone like an instructor. At this time stops two paces distant from the grizzled veteran

"Solder, I am asking you to join the ranks of those who were down below. I am asking for you to give this army of your fellow warriors the needed leadership that you carry with in you. You have seen battle. You understand hopelessness, but we need to set aside our own selves. and now fight for the rest of the world. But most importantly, We. Need. To win. Now, Be with us all in this camp. Fight not just to send the demonic beasts and their minions to the abyss as worm food, but fight to win this world for the children, and their children. And their children.

Will you fight with us?"

His eyes had locked on to the veteran. he brow furrowed. There was no falsity in his heart. every word spoken was in earnest.
