*another 40 bucks, why can't the star wars books be as cheap as the d&d books**sheesh*

One of the main reason is licensing fees. Also the Star Wars book is the equivilent of the PHB and the DMG. Both of which are now cost $29.95. The $19.95 was an introductory offer just to get people hooked. So really the $40 price tag for the Star Wars book isn't really that far off.

I brought the first edition and found it so good that I gave it to a friend. I'll not buy the new one. Instead I'll save my money to the third edition, which expect they will release as Episode III hits the screens. This assuming that they will improve this game a lot!

No, the third edition won't be out by the time Episode III is in theater. It will be a 2nd edition.

The revise edition (yes, that's what they're calling it) will be out for Episode II and from what I gathered, some of the changes are huge. First and foremost, starship combat rule (you can find a sneak peek at this rule in Star Wars Gamer magazine issue #008). The other is the armor rules, more in line with the upcoming d20 Modern than in D&D. There will be new PC races including the Kel Dor and revised class like the Noble (both can be found on Wizards' Star Wars web site), even new prestige class like the Jedi Master, Jedi Weapon Master (SWG issue #009), and much more.

With (spoiler) material from Episode II (hopefully san the N'Sync characters), it's hard to resist this book.
