The heroes steel themselves for a trap to be sprung, but approach the door uneventfully, stopping next to an open chamber.
[Sblock=Twilight Gryphon]Twilight Gryphon looks around and spots an ID badge lying next to a half-finished tripod walker in the chamber directly before the door. There is a picture of a darkhaired man with glasses. The tag says "Tom McCarthy", and has a magnetic strip on the back. [/sblock]

The winged heroine picks up the ID tag "Tom McCarthy" she murmers before flying over to the others.

"Look at this." She says landing on the floor, "It's an ID badge with a magnetic strip, the kind you would find at a buisness such as Microsoft. The name is Tom McCarthy-I wonder if this could be our Dr. Null or an associate. It is unfortunate that we were not able to acquire a good photograph of his face."

She holds out the ID Badge in case one of the other heroes wants a closer look.

OOC: Incidently, was there a company emblem on the badge?

Intrepid glances at the badge.

"Did Null have lackeys? He probably would, considering there's no way one person could do all this," swings his arms to point out their surroundings, "alone. Regardless, this should make getting through all these doors a bit easier."

"Let's give the badge a try. No matter what Dr. Null dishes out, I can it. Here, give me the badge" Aquaphibian extends his webbed hand to take the badge.

Twilight Gryphon gives the badge to Aquaphibian, "It's not impossible that he did this himself, he could have some ability that lets him build things at an incredible rate; some kind of super speed or technopathy."

She shrugs, "After all, I have wings and Ghost is a disembodied spirit we cannot really rule anything out."

"We will see" Aquaphibian responds. "Alright, stand back." Aquaphibian waits for his teammates to take cover, then he walks up to the door holding the badge at chest level.

Ghost nods, "Yep I am undead, and should be just the second part of that, so there ya go. Still it does not make sense to have those cards lyin' around if they were not for anyone. I mean he could trap people a lot more easily right?"
