You too, huh, Vax? Great minds think alike.

Although I have to admit that my campaign setting ain't exactly 100% my own.

I thought of ankh too. I just didn't care to post it. Which I'm terribly upset about right about now. Since if I had I'd been amongst the great minds too, but now I'm just a follower and a brown nose. Sheesh. From great to lousy in two seconds flat. How about that?

Gnomes are the one and only True Good race, after all. And have you remarked that Darkness, our vile moderator, can't stand them ?

That awful fiery ball of doom that constinuously fire its UV-A, UV-B, and Gamma death rays at us to burn our skin, blind our eyes, wilt our garden and give us cancers ? That big bloated radioactive fireball that will one day expand until it'll swallow our poor little blue planet ? And then "hopefully" becomes a black hole sucking the matter out of the universe ?

No way. That's a symbol for evil.

Oh, a flame or torch! Fire has always been important to man.

I'm sure the gods who have punished Prometheus the Firebringer to have his liver torn out every day would all disagree with you. One may argue that the "fire" of Prometheus was a metaphor for knowledge, since mastery of fire was instrumental in the development of manknd as a technological race. See also the figure of Lucifer (Lightbringer), who similarly brought knowledge to mankind, and is now universally reviled as being the foulest creature ever and the incarnation of Evil. Note that his domain, Hell, is associated to fire.

Well, Columbus came to the new world with two symbols of good, the cross and the hangman's noose, he planted both next to the flag of spain. :)
