'His mercenary friends were ambushed one cold night by slavers who thought they were just travelers. They paid dearly for this mistake, but in the end, his friends were slaugtered and he was bound and shackled.'

also, I would like to tie your character and Al's druid together as far as storyline. Is that going to be alright?

Iandon Ballo (played by Priest_Sidron)

Fighter 3, Bard 3
Attack: 8 Melee, 7 Ranged
Damage: ~8 per round melee, ~6 per round missile
AC 13, hp 60 (remember, Penance said max hp)
Saves: Mid-single digits
Spells: Charisma, 5/3

Appearence(unconfirmed): Skinner than a boy-band singer on crack, but far better looking (although just as short). Whipcord muscles hint at his incredible strength, as does the fact that his gear outweighs him by a good 50%.

Untested in play. HP are good, but AC is poor. May work best as a ranged combatant with crowd control duties who can enter melee in an emergency. We should think about getting him a Composite Bow to take advantage of that strength.



Randmar "Silverdrake" ????? (played by Rhun)

Ranger 6
Attack: 12/7 or 10/5 10/5 melee, 9/4 Ranged
Damage: ~12 per round or ~15-30 per round melee, ~9 per round missile
AC: 13, hp 60
Saves: high single digits Fort and Ref, mid-single digit Will
Spells: Wisdom, -/2

Appearence: Tall, lean, powerfully built.

Untested in play. Good hp, good AC, ungodly damage in melee.



Weel Naxel (played by jkason)

Rogue 2, Cleric 4
Attack: 4? (the stat block is xxxxx'ed out) melee
Damage: Unknown, +1d6 if he can set up for a backstab
AC: 9 (!), hp 44
Saves: Low single digit Ref, Medium single digit Fort and Will
Spells: Wisdom, 6/5/4 (remember, your Wisdom is 10 or more, so you get an extra orison)

Appearance: Medium height, average build, moderately handsome.

Untested in play, but he'll be a roadwaffle in melee unless he can constantly hide and backstab. May be best as a crowd controller and healer. Probably the best Face character in the party.



Heclar (played by Bloodweaver1)

Paladin 6
Attack: ?? about 10 or 11, we need an updated sheet
Damage: ??
AC: 18, hp 72
Saves: Looks like 10 or so for Fort, mid single digit for the others.
Spells: Due to a Wisdom of 10, none, but he can lay-on-hands 12 points of damage each day.

Appearance: Um . . . Dwarves aren't supposed to get above about 4-and-a-half feet. Weight seems off - well under what's possible. I don't really have a good idea of what he looks like.

We'll need updates on his statblock before I can guess what his combat ability is, but he looks like a definite melee, with ranged and healer as secondaries.



Ostu Redwhen (played by Lot)

Rogue 4, Fighter 2
Attack: 8 with longsword +1, 7 with shortsword, 6/5 with TWF longsword/shortsword
Damage: ~8 damage per round, ~8-13 damage per round TWF
AC: 19, hp 50
Saves: Poor Will, Decent Fort, Good Ref

Appearance: Tall, trim, dresses like a dandy fallen on hard times. Maybe pays a bit too much attention to the ladies.

Untested in combat, but his excellent AC should make up for his lower hp. Even nastier in an ambush.



Alexia (played by Cerberus_666)

Fighter 4, Sorceror 2
Attack: 10 or 9 melee, ranged 8
Damage: ~15 per round melee, ~8 per round ranged
AC:17, hp 54
Saves: Decent saves for all three
Spells: Charisma, 8/5

Appearance: Has the look of the poor classes, but carries it off with incredible style. The flashes of disdain across her face, her impatience, her arrogance, her sulks, are no bar to the men who find her alluring. Fortunately, her current companions seem to accept her as a comrade in arms.

Untested in combat, but the Shield spell gives her the best AC in the party when she uses it, and the True Strike spell allows her to bring a fiery slab of sharp steel into the vitals of practically anything in Syrael.



Luhal (played by Al the Absentminded)

Druid 6
Attack: 7 melee, 4 ranged
Damage: ~6 damage per round melee, ~5 damage per round ranged
AC: 17 or 18, hp 60
Saves: Poor Ref, okay Fort, good Will
Spells: Wisdom, 7/4/4/3

Appearance: Almost as short as Iandon, much stockier. Prefers leather to cloth. Bathes, but otherwise not fastidious about appearance.

Untested in combat, but he probably has a choice of being good at melee or good at healing/crowd control on any given day.

Hello!!! First post on ENWorld EVER! um.... srry

Surprise! Penance dropped this idea on me, and I couldn't say no!

Nice work Cerberus, glad you could make it. As for Ostu Redwhen, his character is posted in that text attachement. Let me edit it to be more obvious. I am, however, wondering about Lot. I havent seen him around lately. JKason's character was posted without his equipment puchased, or even a weapon. :P He was going to fix that when he had time. Those shortened blurbs will be good for the site Sidran made for the world, nice work! Now, I just need to get cracking on the map. :D

If it really bothers you I will start gaining weight in character... good eating thanks to your character or what have you (its either that or I am related to an ant)

Crowd control I can do, and I plan on fixing AC

I have a composite long bow

I will update the website later, and if anyone would like to have their character sheet posted (in a bmp form or jpeg form their let me have them and I will post them there)

If you don't like something on the site let me know and I will attempt to fix it...

The character art I posted was an attempt at finding a visual description of our characters for each other feel free to post comments in the blog about the site if you want (instead of here, I check it regularly for such items, and if anyone would like to help with game content such as race backgrounds (Al, Penance) that would be cool.

:D when I'm not plotting everyones doom, erm, I mean, deciding where to put all the magic items, I'm thinking about that map. :P I'm going to have to go back over all the fluff ive posted to make sure I get everything straight.... ick.

When it comes to composite long bows, your bow only lets you use a +1 bonus for dmg, but you can get one that goes as high as your characters str modifyer. AC is a tricky thing... *comes up with a couple good DM ideas*

did I say that out loud?

Oh, and Al, if you can't see Lots characther, it is up in one of my earier posts in this thread as an attachment (lotschar.txt or something). If you cant see that, I'll pull it out of the attachment and make it a post. :P

Appearance: Ostu Redwren is a tall, trim man. Well-tanned and handsome, on good days Ostu wears a well-trimmed goatee, but often he wears unshaven scruff. He usually wears a finely made but often worn and dirty shirt or tabard over his enchanted chain shirt. Ostu wears loose gray trousers and thick black boots. He usually wears his thin, black gloves of dexterity. On his right hip, he always wears his longsword and on his left, a shortsword. Several daggers are hidden about his body.

Background: The Redwren family is an old one, filled with legendary heroes in the past and continuing to the present day with a nobe heritage. Unfortunately for them, their once considerable holdings have dwindled to nearly nothing. Ostu, a fourth son in his family, has little chance to inherit what meager amount is left of his family estate. Do improve his position, Ostu became part of the entourage of a wealthy merchant's son. Barely able to stand his prescence but seeing the wisdom of a rich ally, Ostu followed this merchant's son, Benteri Vuzle, on several small adventurers. These usually consisted of insulting people and sword fights to follow. One day, however, Benteri took Ostu with him for a short trip into the country to act as protection. Here, Benteri bought a woman to act as a pleasure slave. upon seeing this woman, Talla, Ostu suddenly felt great affection and pity. Thinking without acting, he struck down two of Benteri's men and helped the girl escape. Ostu also slashed Benteri's face, marring the vain man's once handsome face. Now, Ostu is sure that Benteri is using his vast resources to plan revenge and he needs to find allies...fast.

Eh? I'm not saying change it. (Yes, I pointed out that it was at odds with the RAW. I was pointing out anything that I saw that didn't match the RAW and established house-rules.)

Think about the phrase:

"Stronger than a blacksmith and skinnier than a pop-singer on crack."

Think about that. Your character can armwrestle men three times his weight and win 9 times out of 10. For that alone, Iandon is made of WIN and AWESOME.

Hey, jkason, I noticed none of your skill checks got higher than 9. Which happens to be the maximum rank for a class skill at level 6.

Just to make sure, you do know that the maximum only applies to skill points, and that Ability bonuses, feats, class bonuses, magic spells, synergy bonuses, etc., can all boost a skill modifier beyond the maximum rank, right?
