T1: A Visit to Spelding Square [Completed]

Midias finds nothing.

OOG: Peladus and Ngikhnit. Peladus: move action to pick up net, standard action to ready to move when Ngikhnit moves? Ngikhnit: pick up the other end, and move 30 ft somewhere? Or is there a different plan?

OOC: We'll drag the net towards the last sight of Quozen, using its length to full advantage to cover the maximum area.

Has anybody been making listen checks to hear this thing moving?

OOG: reactive Listen checks, yes; but without success. If you have nothing better to do with a spare move action, spending it on an additional Spot or Listen check could be worthwhile.

Peladus and Ngikhnit begin trawling with the fishing net as they hurry to rejoin the others - and perhaps find Quozen.[sblock=Midias, Gillin]At last one of the creatures gives itself away, with an unmistakable sucking noise against the cobbles, somewhere west of Gillin.[sblock=Gillin]Close, but not too close.[/sblock][/sblock]OOG: IVV has agreed to act for Gillin while Quozen is out of action, and he is up now. The reactive Listen checks actually paid off, with nat 19 and 18.[sblock=Maps for the fishermen and Gillin][sblock=Peladus]imageshack is down, so I hope tinypic works instead. The net is of course held vertical and taut, sweeping the ground. A thin line would be too hard to see.

White dots indicate squares that have been 'probed' for creatures... although since they have had a chance to move, that may not mean much.

[sblock=IVV]I should repeat what I said in an OOG earlier: If making an attack blind into UT2's square, there is the usual 50% miss chance, but then also an equal chance of hitting the creature or Quozen. If the creature can be seen, then there is no chance of hitting Quozen.[/sblock]Gillin strikes air.

"I tink it ist smart, serperating us." Hethen runs to be at gillian's side, putting aside his own obsession of the creature acting as a woounded bird drawingh the preditor away from its nest.

double move 30 feet (4 squares diagnale), 30 feet west, or until he finds the creature.

Pendrake rejoins Gillin.

The Square becomes a little colder and darker as the blessing of Hyrag fades.

Midias can see Peladus, and presumably Ngikhnit, coming with a net stretched tight between them.

OOG: Apologies for the delay, my ISP had problems over half the country. Hethen? Never heard of him. Or of Gillian, for that matter. Midias' bless ends. Midias...[sblock=Midias]Black line shows Pendrake's uninterrupted path.
