T1: A Visit to Spelding Square [Completed]

The party and Gillin retrieve a sunrod from inside the shed, set aside the question of repairs for later, and head back down the alley into the main Square, where three more noisome corpses lie. Quozen's rapier is on the ground near the exit into Spelding Row.[sblock=Ngikhnit]Spelding Row is a dull ugly street, nothing at all like Spelding Square - which remains one of the most pleasant places imaginable. Who'd want to leave?[/sblock]

"That ugly creature is no more. Whatever it was, this lovely square is no longer disturbed by its foulness," Ngikhnit comments. "Let us stay here, now that such a peaceful and beautiful spot is here for us."

With a short grunt like sound Pendrake kicks one of the corpses. "We to be needing to throw to the sea these must go." he picks one of them up and starts to drag it off to the dock.

Picking up a creature's remains proves rather more difficult than expected, like picking up a sleeping cat, if the cat were made of treacle. It flows slowly, the main bulk oozing back to the ground no matter where it is grasped. Pendrake's hands begin to itch slightly with the contact.

The nearest such thing are the oil lamps hung high up on the wall along Spelding Row. To reach one, Quozen would need to do a spot of climbing, or have a long hook, or fetch a ladder, or something.

"Come on, they're not going anywhere. Let's find the Watch and be done with this."

Although he doesn't say it, one can almost hear the unspoken words:

Bored now!

Peladus claps Gillin on the arm and heads back towards the Watch headquarters.
