T1: A Visit to Spelding Square [Completed]

The party move along the alleyway, with the outstretched fishing net mostly getting in the way, between two wooden storage sheds with walls of rough overlapping planking. Ahead, two stacks of similar planks are laid carefully within trestles.

The far end of the alley opens up into a hidden yard that only Peladus has seen before. Its northern boundary is made up of the blank walls of poor quality dwelling places, with no doors or windows on this near side. The eastern side of the yard is clear, but the western side seems to be the repository of whatever old junk the users of Spelding Square no longer want. There are several rotting hairy coils of rope, a shattered chair, broken crates, a barrel with rusted hoops, and a great loose pile of wood left lying about carelessly. Near this, and just beyond the shed's closed door, a long ladder is propped against the wall. Beyond all the junk, there is a drop off into the sea.[sblock=Map]

OOG: those with low light vision can't see anything more, except a further extent of open yard out east.[/sblock]

"We need to go up on the roof."

The young mage doesn't seem particularly keen to lead the way.

By the twisted scowl the pendrake has on his face, he is not so keen to this idea either, but he nods in agreement anyway. "there was a ladder here somewhere Ja?" He puts the net down and starts looking for the ladder.

OOC: "The ladder's attached to the wall," the young mage whispers.

Quozen takes the cue and climbs the ladder.

Pendrake turns around and sees the building with the ladder attached to the wall and grins boyishly, "er, uh, ja." he climbs the ladder as well.
