T3 reviews coming in

Surprisingly, almost every T3 review I've seen has been positive. After hearing several months ago that James Cameron wasn't going to direct it, I'll admit that my hopes for the movie weren't very high.

However, it looks like the final product has turned out to be pretty darn good. I've seen reviews claiming that it's the biggest movie of the summer, while a couple of them have even claimed that T3 is best movie in the Terminator trilogy (which I kinda doubt, since Terminator 2 is one of the best sci-fi action movies ever). The only real complaint I've seen about the movie is that it's too short, and when people are complaining that a movie is too short and they want to see more, I usually take that as a good sign. :D

I know what I'll be seeing this Fourth of July weekend.

Okay, I know I said in my last post that I wouldn't be seeing Terminator 3 until the weekend, but my local movie theater was holding a sneak preview tonight and I got to go to it.

I just got back from the movie about 15 minutes ago, and I'm still feeling the adrenaline rush from the movie. Here are a few thoughts about it:

1. I can't decide whether I like Terminator 2 or Terminator 3 more. Yes, it's that good.

2. I don't think I've ever seen more cars destroyed in a single movie before. Only the Blues Brothers comes close.

3. Kristanna Loken is great as the T-X. She's just as frightening as Robert Patrick was as the T-1000... and she's a lot hotter, too. :D

4. Okay, this one is very important: If you plan on gonig to see Terminator 3, avoid all reviews containing spoilers! This movie has an unforseen twist that is better if you go in unprepared like I did.

5. Nick Stahl makes a better John Connor than Edward Furlong.

6. Arnold has still got it.

Anyways, that's my spoiler-free review of the movie. :)

Here's my problem with some reviewers; If any of these reviewers that are saying "T3" is good are the same people who said "The Hulk" was good.....then its going to disappoint me.

Not only that, a lot of posters here in this forum also liked "The Hulk". This leads me to believe that there are more in here (this message board) that have opposites tastes in movies than ones that have matching tastes to my own.

So its still a big mystery to me whether or not "T3" is going to be any good.

I know most people here think Harry @ AICN is a moron but he really liked T3. He just posted his basically spoiler-free review. I only read the first 3rd just in case...

I was mildly interested in checking T3 out, maybe even waiting for it on DVD but now I have to see it. My expectations are still generally low, but this has gotten my interest. I thought this thing was gonna get slammed right out of the gate...

Isn't it ironic that Termintor 3, which is probably the biggest movie of the summer, was also the one that seemed the most destined to fail? :)
