If you allow Monte Cooks Arcana Evolved in your game, you want to cross-class with the Akashic. They get to add DOUBLE their intelligence bonus to all knowledge skills.

Just in case you have not seen it make sure to get the spell, "Lore of the Gods" from Complete Champion on page 124. Since you are going to be worshipping a god that grants the knowledge domain you will get a +10 insight bonus on all knowledge checks for 10 minutes per level.

Before you guys get Erywin's hopes up, in this campaign we have a couple of source rules:
1) No spells from outside the PHB.
2) WotC material only from Eberron or generic sourcebooks.

Shoo you This is more an exercise of how to completely break Galthron if all sources were allowed I know what the restrictions are, just wanted to see what was possible outside of the current campaign as a gauge. Plus there is the whole allowing things outside the regular books on a one for one basis

I've certainly never heard someone call the Akashic class overpowered. Monte Cook's classes in general are pretty balanced, but the Akashic is usually singled out as being slightly underpowered.

AE classes are balanced around AE though, when you start introducing the classes to 3.5 core, you can have problems. I think the archivist/akashic build is one such powerful combo.

In Heroes of Horror, there's a feat that grants +1 to all knowledge skills.

I will have to look up that feat, whats it called? Main reason this is powerful is due to the Dark Knowledge and Knowledge Devotion combo, up to +8 attack and +5 damage or more depending on the situation. Basically I need to be able to make DC 36 Knowledge checks to get the +5 bonus from Knowledge Devotion.

Crystal Masks of Knowledge (blah)(http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/items/universalItems.htm#crystalMaskofKnowledge) give a +5 bonus to whichever knowledge skill they're made for.
