Tales of the Valiant Starter Set Review - The Perfect Start | TechRaptor
What happens when the creators of Epic Encounters join with innovative roleplaying designers? You get the awesome Tales of the Valiant Starter Set.

Arguably you would be right if they don't even try to provide an entry level starter set. But luckily they did. The question now is: who is buying it? I know I bought it for my collection (but I'm not a newb) but I will definitely buy this as a gift for my son and his gaming group. The interesting question is: is anyone walking into the FLGS, seeing this, and grabbing it over the D&D Starter? Alas, my suspicion is probably not, as at least two local stores have it on their shelves and it doesn't seem to be moving. (EDIT....and it doesn't even look like the new D&D starter is moving, either; and the shelves are flooded with Dragon Delves, too. Hmmm.)I highly doubt anyone is going to get into ToV as their first RPG. It was designed specifically to poach the existing 5e fanbase. Maybe KP is more optimistic about it than I am.
