Talien's Tower: Live from Gen Con

God help me, I don't know why I decided to do this, but here we go:

I've got a Blackberry. I've got a blog. I'm combining the two to give live updates from Gen Con as I meander about in gaming confusion. I don't know if it will be entertaining, relevant, or useful to anyone but me, but I figure I'll try it. Who knows, if this keeps up I might make it a trend for all the cons I go to.

So there you have it folks. Live and around the clock coverage of Gen Con! From every Living Greyhawk event, two True Dungeon (err, afterwards of course, not during), to the ENnies, I'll be there reporting whatever it is that strikes my fancy.

Is this a good idea? Probably not. But I don't know if anyone has the ability to post as fast as I can (I tested it, it's FAST), so I figure it will be fun in any case. Wish me luck and drop by to shamelessly mock me when it turns out to be really lame!

I'm in pain. I live here in Indy. Did the state fair yesterday with wife and kids, and did GenCon for the first half of the day today, lugging an ever-heavier bag of swag. Owww.

This is a good year, kiddies. Some very neat stuff. Some stuff hadn't arrived yet. I should have taken half of tomorrow instead, but then I wouldn't have gotten M&M 2.0. (It's going really fast.) I've got a friend scoping out Beast Builder hardback for me at some point. (One of the things not there yet when I left.)

Anyway, enjoy the Con! I pretty much don't get to go back this year - deadlines for work looming.

NewsGator couldn't find any feeds at your blog. BTW, the Bloglet blog hasn't been updated since early 2004. I'd recommend a new host.

I use blogger, actually, and use bloglet for email subscriptions. The error is my fault, as I'm not familiar with how these feeds work.

I've tried again with the .XML feed at http://members.toast.net/talien/michael/sitefeed/atom.xml

I tested it here: http://feedvalidator.org/

And it seems to work. Can anyone confirm?

Don't know about Bloglines, but at Newsgator it worked fine.

BTW, Bloglines and Newsgator have blogroll functions if you're looking for one.
