Talking a parent into letting their child play D&D

Tell the reluctant parents that D&D will teach their children how to identify which kids in their classes are possessed by demons AND how to properly smite them.

Doesn't seem like a lingering effect from the old Satanic panic here, if the kid's father used to play the game. After all, he could tell his wife that's it's pretty harmless. I'm inclined to take things at face value, though Elf Witch brought up a good point too. I mean when I don't want to get into personal details with people (which is just about all the time) I get really vague about things myself.

Anyway, I'd just let it drop. Better off in the long run.
