Tanks and Planes and Guns

What sourcebooks have stats and rules for piloting jets, WWII biplanes, tanks, and the like, and stats for those vehicles that make sense in the context of d20? Like, if I want to bring a tank platoon onto the field of battle and fire a volley into a red dragon, where would I look?

I used the Weird Wars setting from Pinnacle games last year for a WWII-based D&D session.

Worked quite well.

Although a well-placed Fireball generally takes out a Messerschmitt.

Thanks, there won't be fireballs though. ;)

Also, is there any sorta retro-future "Sky Captain" d20 stuff out there?

Spycraft 2.0's got vehicle rules that're easily yanked, as evidenced by Adventure! d20's use of them. And it's got pretty much every generic vehicle you can think of, along with modifications that can be made. If you're looking for cheaper, I believe Adamant also has a good d20 vehicles rules-set out. :)

Are the vehicles in SC2.0 modeled after real vehicles, or were they designed to work within the framework of a 4-man party of adventurers? I've found a lot of vehicle and firearms rules aren't good because they work within the limited design framework of standard d20.

Real vehicles, in generic categories. With the modifications system, you can make pretty much any modern vehicle you like. The firearms rules are all real world weapons, and again can be modified with various things to customize them.

For a modern rules-set, you could do a lot worse than Spycraft 2.0. *hype on* Campaign not deadly enough? There's adjustments for that. Want high adventure? Adjustments. Horror? Check. Pulp? You got it. It's a toolkit, and a lot can be done with it.
