Tapped out...need help

Start as a human fighter, crank your dex through the roof, and pick up a rapier with weapon finesse. Then go rogue.

Voila. Instant swashbuckler.

Now, for the fun part. Give him as low a wisdom as you possibly can. Play him that way. Leap into everything. No guts no glory.

It's very liberating to play a character with practically no sense of self preservation.

It's even more fun if your GM is the sort that rewards bravery, and who protects characters who do things with style, even if what they're doing is ridiculously dangerous.

If you can, get your GM to let you take the pinache feat from swashbuckling adventures.

I had a character like this, and not only did he manage to survive, usually in spite of the odds, but he was also a true riot to play. Got the party into a lot of trouble, though.

This is just straight up classic...now if I do make the "Indiana" character, he will have to be a gnome!

The tragic thing was that you can also play the character as really sinister.

The player was away the first session, and as they were due to be on a boat then I had to introduce "Dr Gnome" as an NPC.

The players (for some reason) were determined that the guy who stayed in his cabin reading books that all the crew referred to as 'Dr Gnome' (pronounced a bit like 'Dr No') was to be their arch nemesis for the next few weeks, and even started plotting against him.

You can imagine their confusion when he unlimbered hat and whip and announced "Indiana Gnome. Pleased to meet you..."

ROTFL

You realise you and I are possibly the only two people on these boards (with the possible exception of Eric's gran) who know what on earth you just said, don't you?

There may be one or two more than that:D
Needle nardle noo!, Ying tong iddle i po!

I think the Indiana Gnome idea is great, fun character. If you want anything on top of the fighter/lasher which might not capture it fully then some rogue, expert, dungeon delver or royal explorer (both S&S) levels might do it for the skills.

I've thought about making Indiana Gnome a recurring character in every game I run, to be honest. WFRP, D&D, Paranoia, everything.

And I think I just convinced myself to do it. :)

Anyone else willing to join me is most welcome! :D

Oh yeah - Solid Snake: What did you end up playing?
