Tavern Brawls are THE BOMB!

Tavern Brawls, the start to every good heroic campaign ! A natural phenomenon endemic to any fantasy story! Every campaign starts in a tavern, and brawling and boozing just seems to come natural to adventureing heroes.

Have you fine people out there had any good tavern brawls lately? If so, what happened and why?

Ah, yes, I remember Splurk the Half-Orc Barbarian's first adventure...

He was in a town, and he got the choice of staying in a nice, clean Inn for free, or a loud, noisy place for a couple coppers.

Now, this was a half-orc barbarian named Splurk, so, of course, he chose the loud, noisy tavern.

So a few drinks later, Splurk is drunk, and, thus far more attractive and friendly. He starts singing an old adventuring song with the rest of the tavern.

Gonna slay yer dragon,
Gonna slay it well!
We ain't braggin,
We're sendin it to hell!

Suddenly, three half-orcs burst in the door, the lead one shouting "WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?"

Least to say, a brawl followed.

And, singlehandedly (okay, maybe with a bit of help from his elf rogue companion. But only a little!) Splurk defeated all three!

Later, I found out that the lead half-orc was somewhere around 4th level...

Great hero, please tell how you fell three half-orcs by yourself (with the pansy elf's help ) and more importantly, why was a half-orc adventuring with an elf?

It's amazing what can be found on page 1075, isn't it? Hey, it's only 25 months old, let's resurrect it! LoL

You mean to say that the Half-Orc needed a timble twigged elf to help him defeat three other Half-Orcs. You mean that he wasn't man enough to handle them by himself. What was he, a pansy?

j/k about the pansy part.

We tried to have a good ol' fashioned tavern brawl in a campaign I was in about a year ago.

Sadly, the cleric screwed up everything by casting Obscuring Mist. It's kinda hard to have a brawl when no one can even pick targets.

If movies have taught me anything, it's that a barroom brawl is inevitable if country music is playing in the background.

You know, I'm playing in a second campaign with a new group and I don't think we've ever had a tavern brawl. Though when I joined the game was at 7th level and the new one is 6th level. Maybe our 3rd time around.
