Elise
"I come from the south. The far south. I came here seeking a little more excitement than what I'm used to."

Troi nods, his right eyebrow raising ever so slightly, but says nothing.

Lasair
"And it is a pleasure to meet you too Troi,"

Troi shakes his head. "No, th' pleasure's mine." He smiles.

Lasair
"I apologise in advance if I am making another faux pas, but has anyone ever told you that your way of speaking is really fun to listen to?"

Troi laughs. "No, can't say that I 'ave. Matter a fact, I don' think anybody's ever mentioned my accent since I got 'ere."

" "Nice to meet you Tandi! I am called Lasair. I am pleased to make your acquaintance! Ripples in your Zivaash place you as a stranger in these foreign lands, much as I am. Perhaps we can help each other in dealing with this strange place and become good friends, like Elise and I."

Tandi's face frowned for a moment, unsure of what Lasair meant by that. "My apologies, but what is a Zivaash?"

Troi laughs. "No, can't say that I 'ave. Matter a fact, I don' think anybody's ever mentioned my accent since I got 'ere."
"Oh, well please tell me if this was an improper thing to say and I have Zij to you now," Lasair replies, concerned that she might have hurt Troi's feelings.

"No apologies necessary, I'm sure I've committed a number of social misgraces just by being here. I must ask though, what do you mean fun to listen to?"

"Well, most people's voices--whether they be gentle or harsh, husky or flat--do not engage my mind in and of themselves, although some of them are certainly pleasurable to hear--I have been told this of my own voice on occasion. But Troi's voice places a few differences in word pronunciation that really make me think about what he is saying, and at least for me, its really fun to get to think!--Its like a game!"

"My apologies, but what is a Zivaash?"

Lasair laughs melodiously, "I suppose it shall be forever my fate to explain the Zivaash to everyone I meet. It is very difficult...it is like a rippling empyreal zephyr that flows through the souls and minds of every living thing--does that help?"

[OOC: You are sneaky! I replied to your first post and then you changed it away. I;m amused :)]

Lasair
"Oh, well please tell me if this was an improper thing to say and I have Zij to you now,"

Troi shakes his head. "Nah, no problem. Jus' kinda funny, is all. I'm pretty laid back an' all, once ya get ta know me. An' as fer me talkin' wierd, I'm not th' one throwin' aroun' words like... um, whatever that word ya said was. Wha's 'at s'posed ta mean, anyway?"

Tandi's mind absorbed Lasair's explanation of the Zivaash. Her analogy to a zephyr was perfect, as Tandi's own kind were well informed of winds, both physical and spritual in nature.

"That explains it perfectly, thank you. To answer your question, I am definately a stranger here and would certainly appreciate any help I could get in learning about it. I offer whatever help I can be in doing the same for you and your friends."

Also, it is an eddying astral current or so I hear Elise comments.

Being a teacher is a wonderful thing, fate or not musing though so is being the student.

"Someone who knew me? Could it be......" Lasair whispers quietly, then she speaks up loudly to Cade, "Why hello there Cade! The clan wardens--is that not what your people call those warriors who have sworn to the spear to protect the innocents from those who would harm them? You know, the ones who live in the big house with bars on it along with the evil ones they are watching? The gold coins of which I speak were given to me by a reformed bandit."
"I guess that is what they'd call them ere, though don't know much bout them bein' a clan. I'm from the hills to the north*, and things aren't the same round ere."
