Anton tips his hats toward the newcomers, "Hello. I am Anton Brandovold. Please to make your acquaintance. If I may be of assistance, you only to ask."

Rousing himself from his table in the corner, A'jardin approaches the newcomer. Greetings Zarindas. I have as of yet not so many tales to tell, but this is perhaps an interesting prospect anyway. I, along with several others here, was hired recently to guard a caravan to Tharol and back, but as it turns out that was merely a cover for er... you'd either call it theft or revenge, take your pick. Anyway, the strangest thing was that the entire issue was resolved almost imediately after we left. I suppose I can't complain much, as the pay turned out being rather good compared to what we accomplished, but it rather fell short of what you would call an adventure.

A travel worn human carrying an immense backpack walks into the bar, notices Scun and and drops his pack on a stool near the half-orc. After waiting a moment to see if the stool will collapse, the human turns to the half orc and says

"Scun! Great to see ya again. How ya doin? Hey Joe, survived that one...need a drink!"

Turning to the bar, the human announces "Hello all, I am Rillian Trilnason, successful adventurer. I am looking for something to do!"

Vargo, after overhearing Zarindas's invitation, stands and walks over to him.

"Greetings! I would be glad to partake in your wine, and share in your story. I, too, am a humble traveler in search of adventure, or at least an honest pouch of coins at my side. I would be intrigued by your discovery, and my skills might be of use to you."

"Ah, caravan guarding?" Zarindas answers, "Bah, totally boring, you're right! I'd never ask a doughty adventurer like yourself partake of such a common task, let me tell you! Pay you say, eh? Well, I have up to 20,000 Gold Pieces that I am willing to give to any who can help me--how does that sound?"

"Why certainly Vargo," Varindas answers jovially, pouring out a glass of elven firewine, "Here you go! Fine elven firewine--the elves really do know how to make good liquor, don't you know! Now, why don't you tell me some tales of your adventures?"

Scun claps Rillian on the back and welcomes him to the bar. "Yep, good to relax a bit. I think I'll avoid sea journies for a while, myself."

"20,000 Gold Pieces?! Did you hear that Scun? I think we should check this out...even if it does require sea travel."

Rillian walks over towards Zarindas and says "Did I hear you right? Are you offering 20,000 gold pieces for the aid of some adventurers? Is it a suicide mission?"

"Yes, 20,000 Gold Pieces, and no, not a suicide mission, my friend," the old man answers, his bushy eyebrows raised at the suggestion, as if he seems to be a little bit upset that Rillian would think that, "That's all the money I have for this, so I just thought I'd mention it so you understand things from my side of the table. That's how much I can give if you have a great tale to tell at the end and I really like your work. Also, its 20,000 Gold Pieces in total, not per adventurer."

Scun raises an eyebrow and listens to the conversation, skeptical of anyone offering that much money.
