Well, none of us here are legendary heroes, so I would think concentrating on what you can accomplish will help you more than what you cannot, while striving to add the latter to the former of course. That having been said, I must excuse myself. I have a few items I must purchase and some work to do which requires er... solitude. Good day to you all. And it has been absolutly facinating talking with you Lasair. Blushing a bit, A'jardin hurries out the door, muttering something about vellium of the proper consistency...

An hour or so later A'jardin rushes through the common room on the way to the stairs leading to the private rooms, pockets stuffed full of odds and ends and a large sheet of vellium held in front of his face. He seems to be trying to read the paper while walking, though from what anyone can see it seems to be blank.

Anton smiles at Lasair and takes a drink from his mug, "I can indeed catch the concepts involved, but maybe I am not smart enough to be able to use them. And you can read the personalities of people with this Zivaash? Maybe you have more power than you think. Oh..." Anton seems surprised at A'jardin's sudden departure. "It is not time, yet, to be busy I think. I am still tired from the last trip of ours..." He turns to some of the others. "Am I the only one still tired? Indeed, this drink does seem to help."

"Yes. From what I have seen, reading the Zivaash is twice as difficult for warriors as it has been for me, although many who do not know it can learn, given time and a patient teacher." Lasair smiles.

"I was not a compatriot in your most recent journey, which is perhaps why I am not tired. Perhaps, as well, it is a function of the excitement and anxiety pumping through my Zivaash as I explore a new place and meet new people. And indeed, there is much water here in the Red Dragon Inn, and it is refreshing and helps stave off exhaustion."

"Tell me, on what grand adventure had such a fellowship embarked?"

Fimble hums a little ditty that sounds like a more melodic version of the dwarf's song as the other three discuss the metaphysical world. It doesn't seem to interest him too much, even though he is a proclaimed wizard. "Hmm? Oh what? Tired? Well, I can't say that I am, no. We mostly... rode on a wagon. There was a little confrontation, but nobody really got hurt. Then we rode on a wagon some more. I think the most tiring thing was that Raena girl! Speaking of which... where has she gone? Hmm..." He glances about the tavern, looking for her. Finding nothing, he shrugs and says to his drinking companions, "Well then, I think I'm going to go meet some new people. Antonidas willing, we'll adventure together again, good sir. Milady." He bows deeply, his large nose almost touching the floor. Then he wanders about the common room, greeting random people, and eventually settling down next to the raucous, singing dwarf. "Quite a song you got there!" he says to break the ice.

Anton nods at Fimble as he wanders off and then turns to explain the "confrontation." "You see, there was this gentleman, Charles. Charles is of a family whose history is somewhat wealthy -- a land owning family. Well, some time ago one of his family's heirlooms was stolen by a family which also took their land. This is a lot of bad luck, you see. The heirloom that was previously passed down in Charles' family was now being passed down in the new family -- and Charles wanted it back. Our job was only to escort Charles there and back, so that we would not get very involved in the family quarrel, but it turns out they gave it back to Charles directly. We travelled maybed one sixth of the way there before we turned back. Kind of a peculiar trip."

Dagummit says, "Arr! Great singin' be the forte of the dwarves. Song, war and drink be the dwarven way. You should learn something from that, Fimble." He then calls for another ale. "It be good to see the place full again. Maybe something be comin' our way soon. In the meanwhile, how 'bout you be joinin' us dwarves in a game o' stones?"

Anton scratches his head to consider the question. "Actually, Charles did not get is land back, but he did not say he cared about the land. So, that was not our concern. To each his own? Well, where do you come from?"

"He cared more for a mere trinket that the rich land of his people? Unfathomable!" Lasair wonders aloud, then says, "I come from afar, a humble traveler in search of answers in your wondrous land."

Then she leans over close to Anton's ear and whispers, "Do the people of Orussus truly consider the dwarven music to be melodious? Truly then, we do not share a common sense of the musical art...or are the dwarves simply deludely arrogant about their voices...or is it truly their forte and they are merely even less competent in other areas?"

Fimble McGee, Gnome Illusionist

"Stones, you say? Why, sure! And isn't it coincidental, the humans call all us gnomes and dwarves the 'stone people'. It's a fitting game for us to play, I say!" He laughs and takes a swig of his ale, getting into the dwarven spirit. "Would you listen to me? I'm a poet, and I didn't even know it!" He laughs loudly again.
