Brother Eusebius, human monk 1

Ah, yes, Artax - some of the more senior members of my order can meditate to wipe away their wounds but I am little more than a novice. It is a skill I do not yet possess. And even they cannot offer healing to others. We would be well served to find a cleric to travel with us - one who is gifted with the healing touch.

So I suppose we wait to see who the Great Lord leads through yon doorway!

Nodis, Shaper 1

Someone appears in the in the door, peering with curiousity under his cloack´s hood at the people inside the tavern. An elf? he´s short enough to be one, but the peasant clothes don´t match. No, he´s a small, lowly and shy human, too young to be here.

He walks to the bar and asks for a drink: "A glass of mil... beer!"

"Aren´t you too young to drink or be here? And what´s your name?"

"I´m... Nodis Thea. And I can be an adventurer. I can do things"

"Like what?"

"Like this!"

A sharpened crystal dart appears in front of him and speeds towards the dart borad, sinking in the wood with a loud ´thunk´.

"and I can pay you, too" says with a more confident voice.

Brother Eusebius, human monk 1

"Greetings, young adventurer - Benedicite! Come, bring your drink and sit here with us. My name is Brother Eusebius, and this is Artax. I am a hunter of undead, Artax an expert tracker. At a distance or up close, we both of us are handy in a fight."

"Artax and I were just discussing the best sort of companions to have on the road. Tell me, can you cast healing as well as you cast edged death? Come, sit and tell us of you exploits, your hopes and your dreams!"

(OOC: Someone, your character hasn't yet been posted as approved. Why not pass the time 'til then in idle chatter and convivial company? :D )

Nodis, human shaper 1

(OOC: Since I posted it this Sunday morning I don´t expect to have it approved soon, but I supposed I could hand here for a while while it´s.)

"No, I can´t heal wounds." says Nodis while sitting down. "But I know it can be done, in some sort of way, and I´m learning things fast. Why do you ask? I supposed you were a priest, being your name Brother Eusebius."

Brother Eusebius, human monk 1

"No, I'm no priest. I might have been, once, but my life took a different turn. Now, instead, my body is a weapon in the fight against the abominations called undead. But tell me, how did you come by such striking ;) abilities as you have just evinced? For I saw no incantation or arcane gesture. This is new, and very fascinating."

Artax, know-it-all ranger 1

"Greetins Nodis, and well come. It will be helpful to have a user of magic along, in whatever form it comes. One thing I am curious of, are you a scholar of magic, as well as a practitioner? Sometimes knowing what your opponent is capable of can be even better than possessing more abilities yourself." Artax thinks for a moment, "Not that I'm disparaging you if that is not a path that you follow. For my part, I have studied the natural world as much as I can, and also the unnatural world of caves and caverns where the sun does not pass."

(OOC: someone, have you emailed %nimisgod%@hotmail.com, without the %? He handles the character verification mostly)

Nodis, human shaper 1

(OOC: Yes, I sent the e-mail, but I posted the character just a few hours ago (I´ve not even finished the background). I don´t think he´s checking the threads 24/7!)

"Eeeeh... it comes with concentration and desire, if you want if badly then it just appears. Then you only have to learn how to... sounds weird I know but I can´t explain it better"

"And sorry, I don´t think it´s magic. For what I, hm.... I´ve been told, at least. Maybe it´s a new kind, or meybe I´m just a... freak"

A gnomish woman enters the inn, accompanied by a short haired dog which is slightly taller than she is. The gnome has platnim blond hair that stands out against her weathered brown skin, and is dressed in studded leather armor. At her side hangs a sickle and several odd bags, and around her neck is a large pendant bearing the shape of a lit candle. She gives a companionble wave to the inn at large and announces with an air of practice, "Hello all, I'm Kirin - I'm here to help." Gesturing to the riding dog she adds, "This is cirus, he's here to lick faces and beg for food."

Kirin looks around the bar for any familiar faces and failing that has a seat on a high stool and orders some cider and a plate of plain sausages.

OOG: Azmodean, Boddynock thanks for reminding new players of character approval. I appreciate what you did. :)

A cloaked and hooded dwarf entered the Inn, leather armor peeking out of his ragged cloak in his rough movements. Clutched in his hand is a sturdy walking stick with a lump of black glass affixed on its handle.

From the shadows beneath the hood, milky white eyes peered at the other customers of the Red Dragon Inn. He took note of the myriad of faces and features that ate, drank and were merry.

Joe gave hunched dwarf a once over, raised an eyebrow and continued with his duties. The Red Dragon's proprietor had seen what he needed to see. "I'm Joe." He said quietly but with a ringing tone of authority "Introduce yourself, stranger"

"I am Veras-Re. I come from the East." He spoke in an quiet voice that was laced with a dwarven accent and used to attention. "I am adept in lores, mystic and mundane. I am also proficient in the mending of flesh and the crafting of steel for and against bloodshed. I have some skill in battle, but I have yet to earn my Kharas*

Now give me a room and some stonehearth ale."
He slammed some coins upon the table, his might betrayed to spectators.

Joe let the dwarf have his room and his drink, though Veras-Re insisted on using his own clay mug to hold the drink. The dwarf begrudged a gruff (and distinctly dwarven) thanks. He then hobbled his way to an empty table, set his pack and stick beside him then drank in peace.

Brother Eusebius, human monk 1

Eusebius turns to the young man, looks him in the eyes and says, "Freak? No, Nodis Thea - you live and breath, you have passion and a gift which the gods have given. That is not the recipe for a freak. It is the makings of a hero!"

Turning towards the bar, he calls out, "Hail, Kirin - Pax vobiscum! It is indeed good to know that there are others around who long to help! Would you and your fine hound like to join us at our table? I am Brother Eusebius. My companions can introduce themselves."

Then Eusebius stands and moves over to the table where Veras-Re sits. He executes a formal bow from the waist, elbows at his sides and fists turned upwards. "Greetings, venerable sir! You honour us with your presence. I am Eusebius, Brother of the Order of the Servants of the Lord Hyrag, Flame of Purity and Death to the Undead. I seek companions to adventure with - stout of heart and keen of mind. If our aims coincide, we would be pleased if you would join us.
