Because I couldn't think up a good name to save my life, any suggestions would be appreciated

"Well," Lasair ponders, "Yrisa is a derivation from one of our ancient words for rainbow, and I've always been fond of the names Alyria and Inghean, not to mention Thelxiope and Ligeia."

I like the sound of Ligeia. What does it mean though?

"It means Clear-Toned in an ancient tongue, and is the name of a beautifully-feathered and lovely woman from my people's legends."

[OOC: It is actually also Ancient Greek and the name of one of the three Sirens according to Lycophron]

That sounds perfect, Ligeia rubbing Ligeias neck causing all her feathers to fluff up Perfect

This completes my first steps as a wizard and strengthen my connection with the powers I tap into Elise say reflectivly

Looks like I won't be needing these anymore, She takes off her glasses and sets them in her pocket. then she sits at the table and sighs happily

"I was glad to witness such a remarkable achievement! Hmm...wow, so she helps sharpen your eyesight too? You know, she is like my little sister Alyria, although admittedly Alyria cannot speak yet." Lasair sticks her hand into her cleavage and pulls out a small violet crystal that glows a friendly purple, "This is Alyria. She really likes you and wants to say 'Hello.' Someday soon, when I become more in tune with myself, Alyria will be able to speak too!"

"She is only six, the same age as the number of years ago that I mastered control of the Zivaash, but she's very friendly, and she wants you to hold her," Lasair reaches out and hands Alyria to Elise.
