Shadow goes over to sniff Melisande's hand, while Aradra goes over to reclaim his chair that was knocked over. Nodding to Chairty he said "The pleasure is mutual. And I am sorry about Shadow. He wasn't feeling good after getting teleported back here, so I let him rest while I came in to town for a few things. Apparently he didn't like that." Picking up his chair and setting it upright, Aradra took one look at his plate before remembering he ate everything already and instead grabbed his ale. Being mostly empty, Aradra finished the warm drink in a single swig, before setting his glass back down. "It must be nice to be from the city. I'm quite a long way away from home, and I doubt I will return anytime soon." in response to Charity's question to Melisande.

Aradra clearly was not Venezian in origin, and if the girls had to guess, most likely he was a Rornishman. Shadow, meanwhile, smelled Melisande's hand for a bit, before looking up at her with his head leaning over to one side. It almost seems like the wolf was trying to figure something out, but he was not sure what it was.

Stepping in from the outside, a young mixed-heritage woman pulls back her hood as her eyes adapt to the relative dim of the establishment. "Second time's a charm," she mutters under her breath as she starts to scan the main room, now full of patrons. Looking to the stage, her eyes set upon the nearly naked painted pantomime, and she promptly takes a step into the room, but distinctly away from the stage. "Guess not," she sighs, making her way to the bar by a long route.

Tamarie's pace is slow and languid, and she looks about with a relative newcomer manner to her. At one point she stops and looks at some sort of carving on a table, running her fingers over it curiously, before continuing. After a short exchange with Grog she comes away with a fluted wine glass filled with a rich purple liquid and he captures a few coins in exchange.

Melisande shrugged and smiled to herself as she considered the journey to the City of Glass. Bearable was appropriate, or bear-less rather. The other monsters were no small matter, but she was well enough and the evil had been vanquished. She enjoyed the wolf's attention and skirched the fur on his head after the greeting ritual of smell. "You are friendly fellow, aren't you."

Looking up from the wolf to Charity she said, "My journey here was not particularly difficult, no."

"Helerion has asked that I come here to aid the Chapter House. I have spent the last week helping with training and getting them back on the correct path. Recent events have left them short-handed and lacking experienced guidance. However, I can feel that it is not my place to stay here for long."


Turning to the archer, Melisande asked, "From where have you come, Aradra? Has Shadow always been with you?"

"No, thank you," replies Larissa at Heinrich's offer of food. She looks back at her whiskey.

"Heinrich, I...You are a man of learning. And Landandel has much in common with Venza, I think." She takes a pull of her whiskey. "Those men we killed today. They followed their general into battle on a matter of honor. But in making the arrangements he did, the general abandoned his soldiers on the Fields Beyond. No, I know," she adds, holding up a hand. "That is a Rornian belief. But whatever their fate, he left them to it and saved himself. My question is: How can such a man lead troops again?"

She looks up, seeming genuinely confused. "In Rorn, an army that witnessed such a thing would mutiny, and hack the corpse to pieces to avenge the betrayal of their fellows. Yet the officer I spoke to not only defended the general's actions, but seemed confused that I objected. I know things are different here, but...How is it possible? What was really in the hearts of the troops in the stands?"
