[Tavern Thread] The Dunn Wright Inn

The day goes by and although the "excitement" isn't much more than a game of daggers or entertainment from a passing bard, still the time goes by quickly.

It is late when everything starts to die down and most of the regulars (like Jax and Dellrian) have long been gone. But a few of the new patrons still sit around a few tables laughing at a joke or two.

And then the door to the Dunn Wright burst open and a short, pot bellied man comes rushing in. His curlly hair is sweaty and slightly fixed to his forehead and he looks to be out of breath.

"Please... *gasp* help..." he starts to say and then collaspes in a nearby chair.

He points weakly out the door, "Hurry bell tower... *gasp* midnight... *gasp* Bats in the Belfry."

Whatever else he was about to say is lost as he falls forward unconsious from fatigue. The bartender had already started hurring over when the man enter. "Rizo!" he cries recognizeing the man. "He works in the bell tower not five blocks from here. I wonder if he ran the whole way?" he says with a shake of his head at the portly man.

[sblock=OOC] Please post yourself leaving and then follow the link to a little excitment. [/sblock]

[sblock=EDIT] OPPS didn't see all the RPing do you wish for me to put this on hold for a few posts? [/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]I say move on, we can always RP as we adventure, better that way really.[/sblock]

Izzik springs to his feet dramatically, knocking over his chainr, while Aressa stretches rolls her eyes at the melodrama and finally deigns to stand as her master rights his chair.

"Finally, fear not unconscious man, I shall face this bat infested belfry and best it..."

"Or he's not a long winded burke."

"Or I'm not the owner of the cutest kitty in town!" Izzik finishes, blowing his eidolon a mocking kiss. Aressa hisses, revealing a set of feline teeth that rival any lions.

With that Izzik rushes for the door, perhaps more to avoid the sphinx on his heels than to rush to the bell tower. Once outside he glances about looking for the tower in question while Aressa slips into the shadows to try to avoid causing alarm.

Nursing a bottle of wine in the corner, Heather looks up with a certain amount of interest as the stout man comes barrelling into the common room, and mutters a quiet exchange with her familiar.

[sblock=Speaks Aklo]"That's a lot of fuss to make over a few bats."

"It certainly is. I suppose one may assume they are not the common or garden variety of bat."

"Interested?"

"I suppose. It doesn't seem as though there's any profit in it, and chances are the man is an idiot and this is a waste of time. But after all, I think we can make room for a little diversion in our busy social calendar, can't we?"[/sblock]

The crow gives a caw of assent and Heather stands up, taking the half-full bottle of wine with her. She makes it across the inn and out into the street with unexpected speed - her gait is still awkward and lurching, but it seems she is capable of a surprising amount of nimbleness when it's called for.

...
Izzik strolls back into the common room grinning broadly, this time the summoner is accompanied by a strange beast. The creature has the head of an attractive woman, wearing an expression of haughty disdain, atop the body of a lioness, save for the set of small wings that sprout from her shoulders - obviously insufficient to allow for flight.
...
OOC: Don't forget the glowing rune on her forehead... the same that is visible on Izzik's, if he hasn't covered it.

Leonion rushes towards Rizo, to see if he is in need of assistance. Once he has made sure that Rizo is not in need of immediate healing, he then sets off towards the tower mentioned (after paying his bill, of course).

Syldar watches and smiles once she is sure the man is not seriously injured. "See Izzik, I told you there would be excitement." After that, she gets up and heads out the door with the rest of the group.

The evening grows quiet and then a new day dawns at the Dunn Wright. It's tables are freshly scrubbed and the floor swept clean. It is empty and quiet but the barkeep knows that it won't be this way for long...

Pari shows Tagaiwi to the stables, placing his companion in a large stall and seeing that he has plenty of food and water.

Once his friend is taken care of he joins his fellow adventurers in the Inn proper just as they're piling their loot on a table in one of the back rooms. "Anyone know how much this stuff's worth? I really don't have an eye for such things; I looked at the Coffer and Comb but just can't decide how much I'd try to get for them."

Appraise Checks (Coffer & Comb) (1d20+1=11, 1d20+1=12)

A Dwarven woman enters the inn, wearing battered scale armor and carrying a heavy pack. She lumbers up to a table and sits down, removing her helmet. Her face is broad and round, and her bright red hair hangs in a thick braid down her back.

"Good morning, Sir," she greets the innkeeper as he approaches. She is polite enough, but seems preoccupied. "Some sausages and a cup of tea, if you please."

OOC: Awaiting final approval, she'll hang out in the Dunn Wright Limbo of Breakfast until then.

A young human enters, his clothing clean but somewhat wrinkled from travel. He carries a dagger at his side and a scroll tube from his sholder. his darkish blod hair and blue eyes tag him aas beig from the baronies, but from his first words, he sounds local.

walking up to the bar he starts to speak, but stops to sniff the air. His eyes light up as he blurts out, "Sausages" now that is a great idea! My I have some Kaffee und Würste please good sir!"

Character is work in progress
