Deimos Vrago, Tiefling Wizard (Mage)

His fiendish connections make Deimos nearly immune to being deterred by unusual appearance. He quickly steps up to the dark looking genasi.
"Hello my name is Deimos Vrago. At least we three newcomers don't need to be each others competition. We could become a team. Are you interested in a mage with the power over fire and the mind of men?"

Mal stands, just after sitting, a smile cracking his face. “Well met, Deimos.” He offers a hand and grips Deimos by the forearm if he accepts the gesture. “Like I said, I’m Mal. This is Tock. I’m more than happy to have a decent evoker hanging around. Where abouts are you from? If I can ask, I know y’all can be tetchy about that subject at times.” After the greeting he gestures for Deimos to join them.

[sblock=OOC]I need to find a color that doesn’t compete with Susan. We’re running out of colors! Someone, quick, go adventure![/sblock]

"I was traveling much lately, but my family is originally from Ohr Kaluun. But that was before the Inspired came. May I ask you the same? I never saw someone like you."
The wizard says. With a gesture, he causes a chair to come nearer and sits down.

"I was born in a small town, well north and east of here. Near Sterngate. Last I checked it was a lovely clearing with a few deer making a home there. Empty shells that used to be houses kept the wind off 'em I guess." He pulls a small cloth bag from the steaming water and sets it on a saucer. After sniffing the tea, he takes a sips and nods in approval. "You done any work in the past or is it mostly book learnin' for you? I've met plenty of accomplished spellweavers in Korranberg that barely saw the outside of the Library, so please don't take that as insult."

Jarren nods his farewell to Pis and settles in for what might be a long wait, ordering another ale and relaxing in a chair near the fire. He seems perfectly content with his own company, although his manner isn't hostile.

OOC: I had the same problem twilsemail, but remember you can always look outside of EnWorld's automatic selection of colours. This is where I eventually found a nice pinky-orangey shade for my tiefling. ;) http://www.eligr.com/images/colors.gif

"Aye, farewell Pis, my fine minstrel," He raises his mug, "Here's to wishing ye' good crowds and good tips!"

After he leaves, "Ach, Muzdum, I hope that is the appropriate thing to say to a bard? I know you're supposed to ask them to break something, but I just can't wish that upon such a fine fellow..."

After the verbal abuse from Mythra, Braddock stands with his pipe in hand and states, "And who here isn't surprised that two elves team up immediately when anything exciting happens? I rightly think ye'll be needing three or four more if ye wants to make it a challenge for a dwarf. At least one of ye looks the part of a scholar... Ach! Look at me flapping me gums at elves. Not worth it, I'm done with the lot of ya."

Braddock sits again with Muzdum, smiles contentedly, smokes his pipe, and takes in the new tavern patrons.

"Nay worth talkin' to dem mate, dey have no blood in deir veins, nor nothin' up here" Muzdum points at his head. "Fer me granpa's beard, I do miss a good tavern brawl. None 'f ye wants som' good ol' brawl with me? No weapons, just exchange some fists. Ye sure?" says the dwarf, standing next to Braddock. "Come one! Dis must be the worst tavern in the world!"

"I have to confess that most of my experience is theoretical in nature, barring some small skirmishes with brigands. But I'm a fast learner and my fires burn hot."
The wizard says.

"That is an activity I would most likely not enjoy."

Alexia politically ignores the bickering around her as she continues talking to Grys, "Well, I'm afraid I'm only just tough enough to protect myself. But as I said before, I should be able to keep everyone in fighting condition. So if you want my help it's yours." She smiles earnestly, "Besides, it would be nice to get out of this tavern."

Braddock sits again with Muzdum, smiles contentedly, smokes his pipe, and takes in the new tavern patrons.

"So, let me get this straight friend. Before Mythra even talked directly to you, you insulted him twice by calling him ornery and calling him an elf. You then talk about how the "two elves" team up, but you and your Duergar girlfriend here immediately teamed up to start insulting him and laughing at him. I've heard that you Duergars were insane and suicidal, but I've never really saw it in practice before. Maybe you should keep drinking cause your insults are about as watered down as your drinks." Grys comments.

"Nay worth talkin' to dem mate, dey have no blood in deir veins, nor nothin' up here" Muzdum points at his head. "Fer me granpa's beard, I do miss a good tavern brawl. "I take this to mean that you are not interested in our proposition for adventure. I've heard that little guys often have a bigger bark than bite. So, if you don't want to go out into a really serious death threatening situation and just want to fight with your fists in taverns, us "elves" will understand. Real warriors are difficult to find, especially since many that claim to be warriors hang out in taverns and use their mouths more than their weapons."

"Well said, err, Alexia is it? I'd rather have a woman with the heart of a lion with me any day than a lion with the heart of a child. I suspect that my companions would agree. Course, if you come with us, you will have to put up with Mythra and he can be a handful. You can see how easily he got under the thin skin of these two" Grys indicates the Dwarves "and he barely opened his mouth. Come, let's walk over to the table that we are sharing and I'll introduce you to the others. We might just have to head out tomorrow without a warrior with us since there seems to not be any in the vicinity."
