[Tavern] Tower's Shard 2011

OOC: I'm looking to recruit 1 defender. Looks like there are 2 (Baracus and Muzdum). Either one would work, so it's up to them as to which one joins.

If interested, check out the thread (Hysteria's Ascendancy).

An elf in dirty robes comes running into the Tavern. Those who were around earlier remember him buying drinks for everyone and then going off with a group. He now sprints to the bar and orders another large bottle of liquor, before turning to look around.

Which one of you is Muzdum? he looks under tables at the floor and then seeing nothing looks around to those sitting.

The dwarf interest in the cheap chat soon banishes when he spots an elf shaking a bottle of liquor and calling his name. "Excuse me." Muzdum offers to Baracus, before hastly making his way towards the elf.
"Oi, t'at's me yer callin'; Muzdum Firebelly." Muzdum says, his eyes fisxed in the bottle.

A man of average height and slender build pushes open the tavern door and struts in to take a seat at the bar. His black leather outfit suggests that he is a duelist, but he carries no sword, only a thick rod of Ashwood thrust through his belt. His smile is infectious, and he throws a wink at a female patron before taking his seat.

Looking at the stack of The Sharn Inquisitive, Canus reflexively feels his breast pocket, making sure his mask is well concealed. He looks up at Brew. "Canus." he says simply. "I'd like to try a McGuffin."

OOC: Canus Meran, Revenant Fey Hexblade 4(Winter Court), freshly submitted.

A human in simple clothing runs hastily into the tavern and posts a notice on the far wall.

OOC: I'm looking for 2-3 replacement players for my adventure Scratching the Surface.

This will be a fairly difficult, combat intensive adventure. (Difficult in that while I tailor the challenge to the levels of the PCs, I do tend to employ a lot of tricks and tactics as well as ramping up the damage by using the new MM3 damage expressions for the monsters.)

OOC: I have 2 leaders and a striker, and I might still have my defender around, but I'm not sure.

Levels aren't that important to me. My original party was in the 4-7 range. I tailor the encounter to the levels of the PCs in the party. For example, if I'm building a level + 1 encounter for PCs of levels 4, 5, 5, 6, and 6, I'd add one to each of their levels (5, 6, 6, 7, 7) and take the xp value of monsters of those levels as my xp budget (in the example given it would be 1300).

OOC: I'd be interested, though I'm only submitted, not approved. I also know there are two characters entering the tavern soon, from GROMkill and TheWalrus, they just have to put the finishing touches on their wiki pages. I'd like to adventure with them, if possible. If not, I can sit out.

A thin, young elf dressed in a dark green cloak and thick hide armor steps into the tavern. Eyeing the few other occupants with caution, he mumbles to himself, sarcastically. "Humans, a deva, a warforged, dwarves... Sounds like a grand time."

Walking up to the bar, staving off his desire to glare at the patrons next to him, the elf nods to the bartender serving drinks. "Hey, grab me some... Err..." He broke off for a second, feeling judgmental eyes on him. With a more haughty tone this time, he continued. "Give me something strong."

OOC: Belanaar Zalyth, Level 4 Elf Archer Ranger reporting for duty! Son of Meepo, if you can fit Pentius, TheWalrus and I into your adventure, we would be delighted. If not, we shall wait for the next adventure to roll around. I am submitted, not approved yet, as well.

Tossing back his McGuffin in one go, Canus signals Brew. "He'll have what I'm having, and we'll both be needing one." Canus nudges Belanaar with an elbow, not unkindly, and says, "Not that you look old enough to drink more than goat's milk. Here's hoping you're tougher than you look." As Brew grabs the drinks, Canus takes the notice down from the wall and brings it back to the bar to read aloud.
