TBR: Sound off

Hellhound invoked J47 last year, didn't he? Any idea if he is going to be returning this year? I'm against membership without attending.

As am I, but as a Founder, he can never face Discommodation. Retirement to Founder Emeritus status is his likely consequence should he choose to not attend.

And frankly I am fine with that, Founder Emeritus status is an honor, not a punishment...and Hellhound has done nothing to earn Discommodation.

I beleive Jester47 was the first to honorably bow out though (not Hellhound)

Oh, there should have been a break between Any idea if he is going to be returning this year? and I'm against membership without attending. The first was just a question re: HH, the second was a statement regarding bestowing of membership on a new initiate without their attendance. Since HH was one of the primary individuals responsible for the formation of the TBR, his membership cannot be revoked.

Well, I'm a bit peeved at her right now. I've done nothing but foster goodwill towards her, and was told that she would be accompanying us. If she wants to turn down my offer to initiate her, I suppose that's her decision. I'll have to discuss it among the other elders. However, it is clearly written that the only way to become a member of the TBR is to undergo the initiation rites and attend an outing, of which there is but one a year. If she wants to host a girls night out at the same time, that's her loss. :]

Ok Mr. Carpenter pants, you can be peeved at me if you wish.

Firstly, your goodwill (along with quite a few others) was something along the lines of... I'm going to get you drunk and kidnap you, bringing you to the Red Garter. Not that it would be bad or I am complaining... :p

Originally, the fabulous Queen D invited me to the Girly Club and at the time she said there was no date in mind but that it most likely would not be after the ENNIES. I think this was due to her being more focused on her thesis than the party (geez!). Therefore I did believe I would be available to accompany you to the Red Garter. And you did spend much time explaining and I was considering attending.

Only recently was it brought to my attention that the Girls would in fact be meeting on the same night. So, what am I supposed to do? I don't know the time of your outing or the time for the Girly party but I am guessing both on the same night might not be possible.

Don't be mad at me Rich <insert Queenie smiling and batting her eyelashes> ;) I would like to go with you I just don't know if it will work out.

That is an awful lot of text to convey the message "I got a better offer and am ditching you" :)

Your resume is compelling Claudio:)

Are you attending this year? I will happily use my Founder's exemption if you are.
Indeed I am, TB! And all by my lonesome this year! ;)

When is Little Canadiana happening, btw?
