Teleporting monk

Atk +6 (d6+1 unarmed strike; Stunning Fist DC 19)
Unfortunately, Aesthetic Mage doesn't change the Wisdom dependency of Stunning Fist; your DC should actually be 13. Ouch. Luckily, if you go Enlightened Fist, you'll be using those stunning fist attempts on other things.

DM doesn't like psionics.

I'm thinking monk 1/sorcerer 8 with a raven or hawk familiar, the sun school tactical feat, and lots of teleportation spells, especially benign transposition. And ascetic mage. I could have my familiar swoop in near any foe I want to attack, and then I could benign transposition myself with my familiar, and get a free attack with Sun School.

What else to do, though? A character who is mostly sorcerer is fragile in melee combat. I'd probably be better served using the familiar to deliver the party's knight into desirable locations. I would function mostly as a sorcerer, but I would just have a fun trick where I could occasionally take out enemies who don't expect me to hit them.

So I need something to make that special super attack more interesting. Suggestions?

So monk 1/sorcerer 8.
Ascetic Mage
Sun School
Stunning Fist (bonus from monk)
Leadership (the DM allows it, so I'd be crazy not to take it)

Weapon Finesse? I don't think I would necessarily fight unarmed, because I don't think Sun School requires it. I might take Deflect Arrows, just so I could fly around and be more invincible. I need some damage dealing ability. Hmm.

Here is a build I have been working on. Not totally finished, but here it is...

(Note: I have to double check and see if I can qualify for CSM at the level I wish to take it. Skill ranks might hold me back)

Swordsage 11/Warblade 2/Monk 2/ Crinti Shadow Marauder 5
Progression: Swordsage 1/Warblade 2/Swordsage +1/Monk 2/CSM 5/Swordsage +9

BAB: +14/+9/+4

Feats
(H) Stealthy (qualify for CSM)
(1) Mounted Combat (qualify for CSM)
(3) Adaptive Style
(6) Sun School
(9) Extra Readied Maneuver
(12) Two-Weapon Fighting
(15) Any
(18) Any

Important Maneuvers: Shadow Jaunt, Shadow Stride and Shadow Blink (all from the Shadow Hand discipline).

This build will allow you to dimension door (thanks to Shadow Jaunt/Stride/Blink) next to an enemy 3 times per round AND allow you to make full attacks each time thanks to the CSM's "shadow pounce" ability. That is 3 full attacks in 1 turn. The way it works is, you Shadow Jaunt (Standard Action) next to an enemy, which triggers the CSM's Shadow Pounce ability (make a full attack whenever you "dimension door" next to an enemy) and gives you a full round attack. Then you Shadow Stride (Move Action) to the opposite side of him, again triggering Shadow Pounce. Finally you Shadow Blink (Swift Action) to another side of him, again triggering Shadow Pounce.

Don't forget, also during each "dimension door" you are also getting 3 free attacks from Sun School. Add in Flurry of Blows and TWF, and also pick the TWF maneuvers (such as Raging Mongoose) from the Tiger Claw discipline, you can really rack up the attacks.

I did an alternate build to pull this off earlier at level 10, but it loses the Sun School feat.

A monk with an 8 wisdom? Don't you think he'd at least have a 10, wisdom being one of the main stats of a monk?

Don't need to, of course. Just seems more "realistic" to me. It is your character, though, of course. :)

But with a 20 charisma he could be the monk that is known for leading his friends/companions/charges into battles that are impossible to win...

Maybe he should name the character Naruto...

I had a monk/sorcerer/enlightened fist. He often used Polymorph to turn into an Annis Hag, however he used the "may control gender and cosmetic details" clause of the spell to make it a male annis hag with spiky blond hair, huge eyes, and a small nose and mouth. :)
