D&D General Tell me about Birthright

I started reading the Ruins of Symbaroum 5E GM's Guide (Free League Publishing) last night, and found that it contained domain management rules, as well as narrative-oriented rules for PC participation in wars and battles. The domain management rules as written aren't intended for managing anything larger than a small market town (+/- 500 residents), but nevertheless, I could see myself porting those rules to other settings. I wonder to what extent they could be tweaked to form the basis for a 5E Birthright game?

I would love to have an official 5e version of Birthright.
To be honest the domain rules for AD&D were almost completely distinct from the D&D rules so I’m pretty sure you could port them over wholesale.

Create bloodline powers that are equivalent to feat in strength and allow players to take them as such throughout their career.

Create a feat called Bloodline equivalent to a level one feat that lets you draw on your regency and gives you a minor power. Lucky would be a good base.

For the purpose of Domain Management keep the score generation the same as in the 2e version. Or have a characters starting Bloodline Strength is equal to 10 + 2d6 + proficiency bonus + the total bonuses of the characters stats. Bloodline strength can be increased by in game activity anyway.

You have inherited a bloodline from one of the old gods, granting you the power to rule the land. This power can also be harnessed to strengthen your blows or protect you from harm. Pick one of the gods whose bloodline you hold. This cannot be changed, and gain the benefits below.

Bloodline Points. You have a number of Bloodline Points equal to your Proficiency Bonus. You can spend the points on the benefits below,and you regain your expended Bloodline Points when you finish a Long Rest.*

Advantage. Immediately after you roll a d20 for a d20 Test,* you can spend 1 Bloodline Point to give yourself Advantage on the roll.

Disadvantage. When a creature rolls a d20 for an attack roll against you, you can spend 1 Bloodline Point to impose Disadvantage on that roll.

Yes, the domain rules are portable BUT I would like to see this lovely setting in the new edition and available to the new players that are not aware of old AD&D Birthright. Finally, I don't know if your feat implementation of the Bloodline is the better possible idea. I would like to see it implemented by tha D&D Team in an official manual. But probably I am just dreaming... :)

Something like the piety rules from theros I think would work, instead of earning favour with your deity, you're strengthening your bloodline which unlocks new powers.

The name of the planet is Aebrynis, and there is nothing official about the Aebrynispace, but this also could explain the origin of new elements added later because these are from other planets within the same wildspace. Maybe after the death of the Cerilian deities their astral domains as demiplanes survived, but with some changes, for example the second ones in command becoming the "heirs". The giants and dragons have got their own demiplanes within the elemental limbo, with conflict between them as troublemaker neighbours, and both suffering raids by genies' squads. A group of awnsheghlien tried to explore and conquer within the mirror plane, but they failed because they found the lord faes of the court of the mirror, and now these want to conquer Aebrynis. This strange faction has arrived to the "shadow world", and they are "terramorphing" entire domains. In at least one of these the gnomes have created a true utopia, but the secret is they were abducted by the mirror-faes and their memories rewritten.

The Cerilian dragons have created their minions, the dragonborns, because the repopulation is faster in their war against the giants and the genies. The handicap is these can be hunted and sacrificed for the power within their blood. Dragons can pay with the same coin when enemy giants and genies are catched. Some spellcasters have used bones and corpses of dragons to gather tissues and with these to create clones, and this worked, but the original ones now are really furious.

The farming simulation videogames are becoming very popular now, and I wonder about Birthright as setting for a D&D farming simulation. I wonder about a PC who starts as a castaway in the Astral Sea, and this has to rebuild teletransportation gates to travel to other points of "shard" of fractured astral domains.
