I tried to re-do the genasi, and came up with the fireborn, the windchildren, the stonekin and the wavelings, to which I added the positive / negative energy counterparts illuminates and shades (not FR shades). There are also the feyspawn... Finally, in another campaign, I had the soenos and the alptraums, bastard races that came from the union of a real-world human and a creature of the dream-world / nightmare world (respectively).
My brain has been tainted by anime so I've got all kinds of animal-people: cat-girls, fox-girls, dog-guys, ect. Mechanical people both the steampunk kind with that you can see the worky bits and the too perfect beyond human infiltrator kind. Beautiful flower-people who make the elves look like chumps. People with feathered wings. People with leathery wings. People that fly without any need for wings. People who can shoot lasers beams out of their eyes. And, of course, who could forget that slimes are a playable race?
Well, as you might guess from my icon, I have a thing for centaurs. My campaigns also tend to include various other animal-people - lizardfolk, catfolk, aarakocra, lupins, gnolls, otterfolk, nezumi ...
Overall, it's mostly the classic humanoids -- those from the PH, plus goblins, hobgoblins, kobolds, orcs, etc. And often, several subraces.
I've a few others, but they are region-dependant, and live rather in ethereal realm (think of demiplanes that mostly looks like the prime material plane, and are thinly connected to it, so you can travel from one to the other if you follow complicated pathways or get lost). Most of them are animal-people, since regions always have an animal totem, the region's ethereal realms will harbor creatures related to that totem. There are a few exceptions to that rule, though.
Among the not-region-dependant, there are the Dark Ones: Dark Creeper, and Dark Stalker. Not related but in a roughly similar niche, the Skulks and the Hogmogs.
I was planning to allow Orcs and Lizardfolks but they won't be nothing special compared to the standards.
Orcs would be culturally similar to how humans were many centuries earlier, something like at their first attempt to form a single empire of their entire race. Society will be based on more simple and loose laws and individual rulership, with honour playing a major role.
Gamewise the race will be like standard Half-Orcs (which don't exist) with some extra feral abilities such as scent and resistance to fear.
Lizardfolks would be nomadic and sparse nature-dwellers of late origins, speculated by some sages to be lesser spawn of dragons, very non-confident on other races but absolutely not hostile, just trying to avoid contact with civilised people and defend their own privacy.
Gamewise very similar to MM, with minor tweaks.
