Tell me about other (non-core) PC races in your world!

I use any and all races I can find that conform to the following:

1) Seem interesting
2) Can "logically" fit into my world
3) Aren't unbalanced
4) Won't get the party killed when they go to town
5) Aren't evil (see #4)

Mystic Races, AU, Races of Stone, etc., all have interesting ideas. I tend to stray away from "XYZ elves" and "ABC Dwarves", though, because they are over-done (hence, no drow or duergar).

Do you have stats for these, FoundryofDecay?
PS Im always looking for new ways to stat/fluff out gnomes or the races in my grippli,thri-kreen,myconid thread. Email me at jmawhort@yahoo.com or pm me if any of you people have an idea. Its okay to just send a copy-pasted thing, anything I can get would be helpful

In my campaign world, the only core races used are humans, half-elves, and elves.

Drakken are 7-9' tall draconic humanoids. They are very martial and have a society similar to the Klingons from Star Trek. Like dragons themselves, there are many different subtypes (desert, arctic, jungle, etc.).

Manx are barbarian cat-people. They were originally halfling-sized but have since been increased to roughly human height.

Merren are similar to spirit folk, with strong ties to the wind and water. They appear as humans with blue or bluish green skin and hair, and piercing eyes. They can feather fall once per day (useful in a world where everyone lives on floating islands in the sky) and have animal empathy. Some of their sorcerers grow horns, the type of which varies on the type of magic they use.

T'alma are a race of psionic humanoids as old as the gods themselves. Appearance-wise, they are similar to the githyanki, although they are not evil in nature. They were all but destroyed for warring against the gods, but are slated to make a comeback in my next campaign.
