>>For foul magics I turned to Ronin Arts' A Dozen Disgusting Spells to create goblins armed with scrimshaws of vacate bowels and a few others for A Dozen Troublsome Spells (scrimshaw spell from The Game Mechanics). Demoralize and smelly the "heroes" we unable to prevent the ladies abduction and had to sulk back to town. (They need some supplies before vowing revenge.)<<

D00d, that's just WRONG.

...

A Dozen Disgusting Spells, huh? Heh, consider this bought...

I don't think that meets the criteria.

Sorry, I won't join any more discussions unless I explicitly meet the original posters criteria. Heaven forbid we have a conversation. ;)

Yep, that's me converasation killer.
Although with 14 posts, many by me, this is the longest threads I've launched. Obviously introverts with poor social skills should stay hidden from the public.

I was actually trying to encourage you to dig back through your memory for something that you did use. Since from your posts you seem to be a many source DM, I just could see something of Ronin Arts not being used by you yet :D

What were you going to use?

Phanstasmal memories was at the top of my list of possible selections. I like the idea of an entity that is not a sentient malevolence, and requires the players to get involved in the history of what happened, rather than just have some tortured angry soul to hew down.

Well, I actually have only recently started buying a decent amount of Ronin Arts stuff. I mean I have a few things from a long time ago like Construct Mechanus, but I never used it. I might have used one or two things from the Bad Axe games compilation, but nothing that sticks out in memory. The stuff that I have that I really want to use, I have only acquired recently.

Hopefully we'll keep releasing stuff you can use. The Demiplans PDF has started to move a bit better so if it continues -- and if the Planar Factions do well -- I'll have to pull out the other 16 demiplanes and find a way to release them.

Possessors served asa start to the campaign. One of the first nights as the party was out adventuring they saw the lights in the sky as the possessoirs invaded the world. Then over the next few weeks they saw evidence of people dieing and disappearing. Then they hada few envounters with them, and really were wondering what they heck they were. I had a whole back story on how they were accidently summoned by some NPC friends of the group and it was sort of the fault of one of the players, though not intentionally and not that she had any way of knowing.

That sounds pretty cool. Someday I'll have to finish the companion volume to Possessors. I've got all of the art and some notes but haven't done much with it.

I've got a lot of plans for using Lost Spells (and the Lingering Spell Energy pdf I picked up this morning most likely), but haven't had the opportunity. Some of the Unusual Treasures - like the fur covered shoes, for instance - have found their way into a few treasure hordes.

And, while not directly effecting game play yet, I set up as backstory a wizard-hating sorcerer who burned spellbooks whenever he got a chance; sometimes he got some shiny effect from the process, but at the very least he'd made it harder for some upstart wizard to learn their magic.

The spontaneous casters in my group have given thought to burning captured enemy spellbooks, but so far have opted to sell them instead.
