First Post
according to their website FFG's Path of Faith and Path of Shadow are out - so, to those lucky bastards who have already seen/read/bought/burned/returned/worshipped them:

Give me a friggin' review!
Or a list of new PrCs and feasts!
Or at least your opinion on them!

...please?

I have bought them, but it will be at least 14 days until I recieve them...

Expect the same timeframe here. Just mailed a check today, three days for them to recieve, three to cash, three to mail back ...

I probably won't even order them until around the middle of February(doctors bills and school bills are catching up to me, and I wanna place my order with ENWorld all in one lump order, it's already closing in on $600), but I might make all four books my first reviews on this site.

Hey, that would be cool blackshirt.

I got my copies of both books last week and have read them (well, I'd already read Faith four or five times :D), but nobody wants to hear my opinions on the books.

Come on Wil, we need the information even if it's biased :D

I've got Path of Faith. Path of Shadow is still on order.

I thought it was good, but I don't like it quite as much as Path of the Sword or Path of Magic. I'm not sure what, but it just feels like something is missing. Of course, even with that, I like it better than Defenders of the Faith (WotC).

Can't give you anything really specific. The boss would take a dim view of me keeping large stacks of D&D books on my desk.

Walking the path

I now have all four path books. I have found that these books are outstanding for my campaign world. The optional character classes and the prestige classes are the sections of which I have gotten the most use.

Of the two books I just recently received, I enjoyed Path of the Faith more. This is probably because the character I am playing took the True Crusader prestige class. Also one fo the other players just created one a character using the optional character class where you do not have to prememorize divine spells (sort of the cleric version of the sorcerer.)

To be honest, I have not read Path of the Shadow that closely yet, but if it even comes close to the quality of the other books I am sure it will be outstanding.

Disclaimer: I did not develop Path of Shadow.

You will probably really enjoy Path of Shadow then, as it is the most class-oriented of the Path books. This thing has a LOT of classes in it and so far I've enjoyed them very much. One thing I really enjoyed was the seemless inclusion of psionics in with the traditional stuff. No big deal made, no extra book just for them, just a good use of all the rules available.

19 PrCs
12 LgCs
4 alternate core

Favorite thing about Path of Shadow... Epic Assassin PrCs... and Jack o' Knives.

Least favorite thing about Path of Faith? Weak alternative Core Classes.
