Well, I'm not to fond of the path series' alternative core classes and schools, and these books haven't changed my opinion much, with the exception that I would consider using the psychic thief.
I liked the prestige classes in path of faith and I liked the legendary classes in path of the shadows. (Queen of Shadows, for example, is very cool). Some path of faith classes did strike me as weak instead of strong, a change for most PrC supplements.
I was sad not to see any Andy Brase artwork (the hallmark of the Path series), but Hian's artwork is pretty good.
I think path of faith has a lot more depth and promises a lot deeper utility to it, with some expansions of the small gods rules from S&S and some cult rules; if you like that sort of "variant" rules kind of thing.
Both books are pretty heavy on "story element" type things, and as with the earlier path books, I was pleased to see the way that they prodived an organization for each class, but did not make it implicit to the class.
