Tell your overdue Kickstarter story

I remember seeing this one around the time I got into PF2e and kept hearing his name on Reddit as "one of the good PF2e YouTubers". I didn't make it all the way through 2 of his videos before realizing his videos are lazily slapped together and him getting views was more of a sign that there weren't many PF2e YouTubers to begin with and less of a reflection of the quality of the content he made. Between his style of videos and the project being pretty ambitious for a guy who's never published anything before, I didn't feel comfortable backing it. While I feel bad for people who backed this project and most likely will be lucky to ever see the completed PDFs, but I can't say the project being a disorganized mess is a shock to me given the type of content the face of the project made.

Yeah, not to derail over specifics, but I only watched one Nonats vid before deciding I didn't like his stuff, but I knew a bunch of creators associated with the project so wanted to back it for them. I was heavily invested in PF2e at the time so was looking for interesting homebrew and 3PP to help the ruleset move along. But as I've said in another thread, 5 years on and I find PF2e a struggle to be interested in.

I backed the first iteration of the campaign and stopped there. I had no need of a physical edition and paid no mind to the this campaign but to learn that they appeared to have dropped the whole thing and gone into hiding is shocking.
Yup. I would've been fine paying extra to ship it out if the books were actually printed like he said they were. On the bright side, it's literally the only kickstarter I haven't receieved, everything else may have only been delayed by covid or tariffs but so far I doubt I'll have any issues with Dolmenwood or ShadowDark.

There is Marlo's Mire from Jacobn Hurst of Dark of Hotsprings Island fame. It's been awhile but I just think he's slowly making progress. I don't really have any fear of this ending badly.

Here is my list of backed project that have not yet delivered:
Pixels dice original date Mar 2022 (still trying)
Blue Planet recontact Mar 2022 (this one is almost there)
Marlo's Mire Hot Springs Island Sep 2022 (likely dead)
DolmenWood Sep 2024 (shipping soon ish)
TMNT and other Strangeness Sep 2024 (still going)

I am picky about what I back (manuscript/design needs to be done, show they have a good plan) and out of 216 backed KS the two oldest on my list were both pandemic back that are still not fulfilled, but I have thus far only had a single KS not fulfill and that got refunded because Maximum Mike at R Talsorian is a class act (I still want the Mekton reboot!)

The cynical view of that is that he had to get it cleared before the purchase (and windfall) of CDPR. I'm not sure which take on this is correct though.

Palladium Games did it with involvement from the comic creators!
I remember several decades ago; Palladium Games was planning to come out with a TMNT and Other Strangeness 2. But the plan never went thru because they were worried about the target audience not buying it thanks to the first TMNT cartoon.
