Templates and race spcific stuff

I gusse an unofficial way to check would be to deconstruct some huminoid vampires in WotC adventures. If they still have their racial abilities factored in, so be it.

Would you loose the extra Feat for being human? I don't think so. Besides, look at the Black Gaurd. They start as Paladins and can even trade in formally good levels for evil ones. I think it's a cool idea. Maybe even burn a Feat to allow him to use his Drain ability on the arrows he fires.

If he's a Baelnorn, I don't see any problems. Otherwise, you could say that they don't embody the elven way anymore and forbid them elf classes, like arcane archer and bladesinger. But that's just my interpretation, not what the rules say.

As for advancing, that's a little different. Going soley by the theme of the game and the idea behind XP, I'd say yes he could. Because he still has a mind of his own and can still learn (i.e. gain experience) then I'd say yes he could.

However, the Litch templete would add to his ECL (for advancment and XP purposes), so it will be more difficult to go up a level. I'm just not sure what the ECL would be.

as a Baelnorn you don't even have a Phylactery IIRC. (So how that works..?)

(btw if you want something on apic levels you don't wanan think of try a Lich Monk *shiver*)

That's right. A Baelnorn doesn't have to be evil, end he has no phylactery. So if he falls, he doesn't get back up (although some of them use clone spells)
