Been looking at the screens and reading write-up and while I see ToEE being a single player game I think it will also be an engine for future modules, keeping content controlled.

Could be Mark, could be. Depending on how the engine/game actually ends up playing out it have a series of games based on it, like the Infinity Engine that powered BG.

Unfortunately for NWN, most of the best content (singleplayer that is.. never really did any multiplayer with it) was actually done by end-users, not the developers.
