I can´t believe that they did THAT  I´m not an emotional guy, but that made me really, really upset.
This doesn´t bode well for next season, if there´s a next season.
Wow, I can´t remember last time a TV show upset me like this :.-(

The thing of it is, look how they've used Derek over the course of the last half season. There have been multiple episodes where he wasn't even there. While I think Derek was a cool character, they just weren't using him, and IMO even trying to use him. I imagine with a probable cancellation, an actor who is probably unhappy for not being used, and a dramatic need to up the stakes, it felt right.

Next to Fringe, this is the best show on TV right now AFAIC.

A fricken' awesome episode, and loved what they did. Surprising, with a heck of an impact. It'll be a real shame if it's canceled.

Our theory continues to hold - there are two machine factions in the future, and one (John Henry/Weaver) disagrees with SkyNet's methods and goals. I think the T-1001 in the sub episode was Weaver.

On IO9, someone made a terrific observation that the show is currently about 2 similar families (or similar until Derek was killed):

The mother (Sarah Connor/Catherine Weaver)
The child destined to save the world (John Connor/John Henry)
The uncle (Derek/Ellison)
The person most attached to the child destined to save the world (Cameron/Savannah)

The depths of the show just awe me.

I gotta agree on all 3 points here, but House is in the running as well though for the best stuff on.

I had to stop and rewind it when Derek got dropped. It was he was just there and then he was on the ground.
