Terrible news about PIRATECAT's story hour!

There are also heavy influences in the writing style (in my opinion, of course) from (Contact)'s original Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil (converted from the original, so it's no spoiler for for people who want to play in Monte Cook's version). It's got a sense of humor that many other stories lack.

I don't mean to pimp for Wulf, but in all honesty, the story is worth a read!

There's a very good reason for that.

On the day I made my very first foray into the Story Hour forum, someone had bumped up (cntxt)'s Temple of Elemental Evil story hour from where it had fallen, buried under many months of posts.

It happened to be the first story I read here.

I was hooked. By the end of the day, when I had finished devouring the entire thing, I was inspired, overwhelmed, and started writing immediately. I hadn't done any fiction writing since college nearly 10 years ago, when my writing professor discouraged the notion. (My fiction was not to his erudite tastes.)

At any rate, I have never made any bones about it: My story hour exists because (cntxt)'s is so good.

Am I to assume that you take delight in Wulf's every misfortune? That he suffers daily the depradations of halflings and the capricious whims of priests-- and gods?

Or perhaps you are amused by tales of inner-party treachery?

You see why I need some new readers? This current crop is one cynical, twisted bunch!

Say, rather, that we delight in Wulf's succinct, blunt manner of relating to the world around him. The observations that Wulf (the narrator, moreso than the author or the character) gives us are apt, applicable, and downright funny. Also, Wulf has cajones. We like that.

can...not...resist....must open....wulf's storyhour....in....new window. *click* *sigh* Yes, I shall read it, I have been meaning to for the longest time since Rune recommended it. I also enjoyed your Lazy Days storyhour and the tips on how to run a lazy days campaign :) Well, here I go to read!
