Testament campaign, anyone?

First Post
My wife, now working on her religion and history degrees, is excited about the new Testament d20 supplement. She said she might even act as DM for the first time.

I keep joking that I'm eager to play a gnomish assassin follower of Jesus. We'll see.

Anyone else here planning to run a Testament game?

I'm not sure I could do a whole campaign, but a one-shot or mini-campaign would maybe be kinda neat. My dad's a pastor, and so I've got a lot of "bible lore" in me that might be fun to see in action...

Many years ago, I used to be a lay minister for a small non-denominational church. Among other things it did for me, it instilled a deep fascination with Biblical lore and history. A testament campaign would be a serious draw to both me and at least one other person in my group. The others would probably go along for the ride at least one or two games, just to see how it plays.

I'm a catholic theology major, so I'm definitely intrigued. If it was anyone but Green Ronin, I'd be skeptical, but I think they can pull it off.

I run a campaign in a modified Mulhorand/Unther setting in the FR, and have used Ancient Egypt as a base for most of it. I'll mine Testament for ideas and other tidbits, but I won't run a campaign in the Testament setting.

I am excited about Testament. While I doubt I will run a full blown Testament campaign, I am currently working on a Mediterranean type setting. I think the book will be super useful to what I am working on, as well as very interesting to just peruse.

While I have evolved into somewhat of an agnostic over the years... I am still intrigued by Bible lore and history. I guess going to Southern Baptist private school through junior high had a lasting effect on me after all.

I definitely plan to buy Testament. I'm not sure if I'll actually play it, but as with other posters to this thread... I'm working on a setting idea that involves the Greeks and Persians. Having something like Testament would definitely add something to my setting.

By the way... if you haven't checked out the two previews... you really should. They're both excellent.

I'm glad you liked the previews. Nicole's mentioned that the game's shipping this week, so it should be in stores real soon now.
